Scott, I used to be a centre-pull knitter, but got so much extra twist and collapsed cakes that it used to make me bananas. Got introduced to a yarn buddy/yarn valet, and GAME CHANGER. You put your ball on the spindle, pull from the outside, and shazam, no twist, no collapsed cakes, and all the knitting ease and joy. You can get inexpensive plastic or wood ones, and sometimes you can get fancy ones at yarn shops and yarn shows. I have several and I LOVE THEM.
John, that baby blanket is amazing! Lucky friends, lucky baby.
I had the same experience watching the sinking-ship scenes in Titanic; I cried/wept/sobbed through that whole part! Also, at one point during one of the Kate/Leo scenes before the iceberg, I got a cold shiver realization that OMG this ship is going to sink; people are going to die. OH NO.
Have a blast in Puerto Vallarta! Muchas cervezas!

I lived in Mexico and in Puerto Vallarta for some years back. My daughter and granddaughter just got back Saturday from 10 days in PV. I don't know where you'll be staying but be sure and go to the Romantic Zone. That's where the great art, the architecture, good authentic food and the restaurants on Los Muertos beach are located. You're gonna have so much fun. Take lots of sunblock because the sun is very intense. My daughter is white and my granddaughter is mixed. Both came back very tan but my daughter had to burn first.
And speaking of your Podcast I'm thrilled that you're back. And speaking of your Podcast I'm thrilled that you're back. I hope you take and share some footage while you're in Mexico.❤❤❤

Glad to see you back and love the plan for movie reviews. I do question calling Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet unknowns since he had been nominated for an academy award for What’s Eating Gilbert Grape and she had won a BAFTA for Sense and Sensibility before they were cast.

You know here in Australia they play “We can’t stop the music” every New Year’s Eve at around midnight. I’m nearly 50 and I remember watching it every year at my grandma’s so it’s been going a while 🪩

Funny that you make a blanket with the dice. I often do it that way but with 2 dice. it's also a good way to work from your stash or with leftovers. And the nice thing is it never gets bored because you don't know which color comes after the previous one. That keeps knitting fun, especially when you make large projects such as blankets. I always do 1 or 2 rows with 1 color and then throw the stones again. it is very surprising how combinations arise that you would never have thought of yourself and that combine wonderfully beautifully with each other

I also like knitting from the outside of the cake. One of the ways I like to manage my yarn is with a tool some call a yarn or wool tree, looks like a dowel rod sticking vertically out of a lazy Susan. I cake my yarn and right after I'm done winding, I slip the rod in the cake winding hole, and I'm off knitting. I've seen them for sale on Knit Pick's, Amazon, and Etsy. Hope this suggestion helps you with your yarn management!

Fun to see you (and Junior!). What a great idea to knit alk the hats in the National Parks hats book. I ordered that book, it has been very popular with my local knitting group. I like how Scott's Zauberball sock knit up, and your Bakery Bear is going to be very cute. Have a good trip!

Happy to see you two. I don't know how I missed your last episode, however when I'm done writing this I will watch it. Have fun in Mexico. I went there in 1975. I know it was a long time ago. I was a senior in high school. Was there for 19 glorious days only to fly home in a blizzard. Chicago Airport had been shut down and after many short flights to get to Detroit metro airport I was just happy to be on land. Oh and by the way it was in April when I returned home. I'm going to enjoy the movie reviews. I like the best and worst movie compare. Until next time guys.

You may or may not want travel tips, but be careful with your knitting supplies in Mexican airports. You should have any issues flying out of the US, but I have heard that Mexican airports are very strict about knitting needles. For your trip home, make sure that you put all of your really nice knitting supplies in your checked luggage. Only attempt to carry needles that you are willing to part with in your carryon.

I wish they would judge the biggest movie by the NUMBER of tickets sold and not the dollar amount since tickets have gone from a few dollars a ticket to over $20. So how much a movie made is not very accurate over the years!
