Romeo is a male, he has the colors of a male whiteface cockatiel. As for Margarita, if she whistles more than Romeo there's a good chance she's a indeed a male. Also I saw in the beginning when she was whistling, she was sticking her wings out a bit. Only males are supposed to do that when they sing :)
I had the same thoughts when watching this video. the male lutinos have a yellow had, but the rest of the body is almost white. and I would be very suprised, if a female cockatiel would sing like this.
@MrJvictoria3118 no, all lutino cockatiel have bright orange cheeks, except the yellowfaces ^^ and the females mostely havent got the strips by the tail so its hard to tell whether if its a female or a male
awww he is a really good singer :) and the grey and white one is really pretty, what do you call that one? white-faced? sorry, I don't know much about cockatiels but I'm interested in getting one like that:)
Really?! Margarita is a femal for sure and she whistle more than Roméo the male. He does too but not as much as Margarita. Were not 100% sure if Roméo is a male but Margarita is a femal for sure. Roméo is also bigger than Margarita and he's about 6 months yonger than her so I'm pretty sure he's a male.
ive had a cockateil for about 25 years now, and hes still going strong, just think you have them forever LOL
Your birds are beautiful and Margarita sounds awesome
I'm using this video to teach my baby cockatiel to sing. He's starting to mimic it ^^
so cute))
i have a white cockatiel too))) 4 months old) male)

@mbauschard This video is nearly three years old. We since then went to the vet last summer and Margarita is indeed a male apparently. Hehe!
If I whistle near my cockatiel cage they will all come up close to listen, the immitate it later.
If you start wistling you birds could start wistling too. That's what mines does.
now hes name is Margaro.cutes both.
if i let a cocktiel to sound this /watch?v=vIWW6VicsEM all the time, will start to sing it? is it a good way to learn?
@Jean2291 White faced cockatiels are always males I think.
