Fun fact: Eunhyuk was offered a place to be a part of MJ’s dance crew but he rejected that offer to stay with super junior. That decision must have been so hard for him as Michael Jackson was and still is his role model in terms of dancing 💙
Fun fact : Suju is the first group that have so many members like this (in early 2000s most of kpop groups have abt 5 members) so when they perform, they had to lip sync because the music shows/events didn’t have enough of mics 😅.

Heechul has always been stunning even during their early days when he had really long hair. He always looked so beautiful and his visuals even stunned straight men in the industry throughout his whole career, creating a lot of rumors that Heechul was into men. All of his dating rumors were with men for the longest time, too. However he never really denied any allegations because he didn't want to cause any disrespect or discomfort to sexual minorities - due to Korea being very homophobic with the older generation. He doesn't avoid mentioning that he's got the allegations, either. Honestly, he's such a sassy legend and one of my favorite idols due to his personality.
And YES "Sorry Sorry" is up there with some of the most iconic hits ever in South Korea. It went viral for years and EVERYBODY knew it. It even broke into the US and a lot of people discovered kpop thanks to Super Junior's hits. It's basically the male idol equivalent of how popular SNSD's song "Gee" was over there. It was stuck in my head for months when I first heard it and even the dance is very well known.
Usually in Super Show, each member showcases their solo song (or cover song) if you want to watch their solo, except for Donghae because he didn't want to perform by himself, he was so shy, so he 'dragged' Hyukjae to perform with him his song Oppa Oppa, and just like that DnE subunit was created.
For me, actually I was BTS fans in the beginning and I watched one episode of Knowing Brothers where BTS were the guests, then YT algorithm recommended me KB episode 100 where Suju were the guests. Instantly I fell in love with them, no way out now. Being Suju's fans have been a fun journey.
Get fed already!!! yes sorry sorry was the song that put Kpop on the global map in 2009 and EVERYBODY knows this dance. I am so happy you got to some of their earlier stuff.
Eunhyuk is highly inspired by Michael Jackson actually Eunhyuk’s journey and how he became to be a SM trainee to where he is at now is really quite remarkable.
Fun fact, Michael Jackson is one of the performer that inspired Eunhyuk to become an idol. He still mentioned it even recently. And.. this is an old rumor (I said rumor because the source is not available anymore) he was scouted as MJ backup dancer for his world tour, but Eh chose to continue training as an idol.

Oh, you're so right about Sorry Sorry. I think it's safe to say that it's one of the biggest - if not the biggest - hit by a kpop group impact-wise. Definitely the biggest hit from any SM Entertainment group. It basically opened all the doors you can imagine for kpop in asia, pretty much viral everywhere including China. It's genre was so unique to Suju that it was called "SJ Funky". After Sorry Sorry Suju released It's You which also did great in Korea. In following yearly albums SM decided to make 2 other SJ Funky comebacks with Bonamana as lead single and No Other (repackage) and Mr.Simple as lead single with A-Cha as repackage. All these had huge impacts as well. Mr.Simple was not only viral in Asia and China but also in arab countries and Latin American countries. I don't think any boygroup succession of hits will ever top Suju's peak in popularity back then tbh.
OMG I can't wait for you to check these 4 out as well. One fine day you'lld land in Suju sexy era - even though Bonamana was considered a bit sexy - of Sexy Free & Single as lead single with SPY as repackage. It was the comeback after the trinity from SJ Funky SorrySprry-Bonamana-Mr.Simple and Suju's last before they started enlisting.
Sorry Sorry is ICONIC. It marks the start of kpop going international. When it came out it hit everywhere Arab countries, Latin America, Europe, more Asian countries, Africa... think of the success of gangnam style? Just back then youtube and social media werent that huge yet you would hear the song everywhere, local radio stations, on tv, flashmobs, performed in prison... Sorry Sorry is truly the anthem of Kpop

maybe you already know some information about Super Junior...But I still want to say some facts about them:
1) The group from SM Ent. debuted in 2005 with 13 members (the beginning of kpop idols with many members),
2) they were also the beginning of the concept of a Sub Unit in the K-Pop industry with the debut of the SUJU-KRY (main vocal) sub unit with ballad songs (2006) then Suju-H(appy) ( 2007), SUJU-T(2008) which sings trot (traditional korean music), SUJU-M(andarin) 2008 which opens the Chinese market, SUJU D&E (2011),
3) they also have their own label (SJ Label) although still under SM Ent. With their own label, they are more able to show their talents and musical colors as a group or as a soloist
4) members are also active as film/drama/musical actors, radio DJs, professional MCs, entertainers, MV directors, performance directors, stage directors, what else?😄😄😄

I think there was no specific song that made me a fan but rather an ensamble. I became a fan during Sorry Sorry era so when It’s You was released I was already a casual listener. Digging deeper on their music I found Don’t Don and The Girl is Mine that's when I started to become a fan.

If I would recommend you anything it’d be Raining Spell for Love and Raining Spell for Love (Remake version). In their last comeback Suju asked their fans which song they’d like a remake on and Raining Spell for Love - from their 7th album MAMACITA and repackage THIS IS LOVE - won \o/. It’s a goosebumps’ inducing song. The whole entire album was crafted to perfection. Mamacita/This is Love was the album LeeTeuk rejoined the group after military and consequently Suju’s first album after the almost 3 years hiatus. That album had Teddy Riley’s fingerprints all over and it’s still considered by fans as one of their best albums to date. Debatable, yes, but it’s a consensus among fans and non-fans that this album is a masterpiece production-wise, vocal-wise and music-wise.
Just think about Mamacita, Raining Spell for Love, This is Love and Evanesce in the same album! Don’t even get me started on Hit Me Up!!!
If you’re not into doing album reviews right now I’d recommend Mamacita (lead single) Raining Spell for Love and Raining Spell for Love (Remake). Also Opera (the Japanese MV is entirely on UA-cam by Avex). I was absolutely blown away by the song + concept combo. You will love it for sure!
Prepare yourself to fall for them after you know their personalities (the Suju Guide 2021 is really good for starters!). Suju is just enchanting.
I can’t wait for you to react to their subunits: Super Junior KRY (main vocals), Super Junior M (M stands for mandarin a unit to promote in China and Taiwan - Super awarded and super iconic), Super Junior D&E (more fun and dance music), Super Junior T (Trot unit, a very Korean music style) and Super Junior Happy (happy, cute and bubblegum music).

Also, you absolutely have to check out KRY’s live performance to Sorry Sorry Answer, the actual MV and Dance version of It’s You (coz that track is actually divided into 3 versions: MV (combination of both dance and drama), Dance & Drama versions). The one you reacted to was the Drama version and it’s actually the 1st one-take in kpop from my memory & I started my Suju journey in 2010 so I remember being marveled at that info back then.
As far as recommendations of tracks you haven’t heard already is concerned, I can see you enjoying the B-side tracks of almost all Suju albums because they are just THAT good. My personal favorites are: Too late, Raining Spell For Love (both; MAMACITA b-side original version and Renaissance album remake Live version), Islands live at SS6, Monster from Sorry Sorry album (no live or MV available so you might have to rely on colored-codes lyrics), Somebody New, Heads Up, Dorothy live, …ing live or color-coded lyrics, What If, Shirt live music show performance, Midnight Blues Live SS6 performance etc. ugh, there are just SO MANY MATERPIECES in Suju’s discography that really makes sense why they’ve been active and still successful despite being in an industry as fast-changing as kpop for 17 long years.
Also, I’d you do decide to watch their MAMACITA MV, make sure you watch both; actual MV and drama version because the actual MV might leave you wondering of the storyline and the ending but the Drama version makes it all make sense (and is ridiculous coz the only person genuinely, seriously acting was Heechul while everyone else were just goofballs which is their original nature)
My top 3 all-time favorite Suju albums are: Sorry Sorry Album, Mamacita album & Black Suit album (Bonus: Don’t Don album) These albums are almost no-skips in my book and the absolute perfection an album could ever be. Would love to see you check out and react to their discography in general 💙

The term “kpop” itself was coined because of Leeteuk. It was known as Korean music or Korean pop music before Sorry Sorry became the biggest hit hitting the globe (excluding US) despite the lack of social media and exposure through UA-cam (as those platforms were still babies at that point in time)
They just have so many accomplishments under their belt that it’s hard to even remember anymore.
I consider myself as an ELF only during SJ Renaissance 10th album thanks to my addiction on House Party. but in all honesty, I have long known them since back in 2009. I got into kpop because of their Sorry Sorry Hallyu wave and then on become a 2nd gen stan. I literally listen to their hits (since it was anywhere in my reach), enjoyed their appearance in k-variety show - an old school one (like those dedicated for promoting 2nd gen idol that time; WGM too), their own variety (Super TV, SJ Returns) and to the existing one like Running Man and Knowing Bros. I literally growing up watching them everywhere including almost all Siwon's k-drama project. even before acknowledging myself as ELF, I have mad respect to them since they are the senior in the industry and also being respected by many fellow junior artist. I would say it is, inevitable 😅🤣.
If I am to recommend you with their variety show so that you can see the other side of their personality wise; I would suggest to go with their own variety.
1. SJ Return Season 1 - available with English subs in their V LIVE channel (showcased their comeback story for their 8th album after 2 years of hiatus as a group). They are rather transparent and you can see how genuine they are towards each other.
2. Super TV Season 1 - One show with various fun (already existed) concept applied on every episode. particularly Super Junior version 😆
3. Super TV Season 2 (it's a game show of them vs other kpop group. so it will be fine to watch the episode separately)

i recommend you to watch super junior's live performance of "it's you" in SS2, SS5, and SS7 😭😭😭 "it's you" just never fails to amaze me every time i listen to it, especially yesung's ad-libs..
I understand that you don't like to watch this period because everyone has their own choices, so you can watch these songs at their concerts, because Super Junior always sing their old songs in a different style. We become ELF. We became a ELF at first sight, but I can tell you some reasons because they are many, their personalities, their love for fun, their enjoyment of their music, their sens of responsibility their madness, their relationship and care to each other.

It is a distressing and impressive work (3) His various solo dances in Kowning Bros.
2. Kyuhyun: "혜야", you can feel his shocking energy like singing a musical (in fact, every song he sings on the show as Ginnie is quite worth listening to) .
3. Ryeowook: (1) solo song "l'm not over you"can show his high-pitched and bel canto (2) mamacita of ss7: a comeback stage that makes one's eyes bright .

As for me, been a fan since early 2006, in time for their U comeback actually, lol. I saw long-haired Heechul on a variety show and got smitten. Researched him and found out he's in a group called Super Junior. Their voices blew me away, especially Yesung's. They were active back then in lotsa variety shows so their personalities made me stick around, and Yesung eventually become my #1 fave male vocalist till this day. As I said in your previous video, the vocals are just a gateway, lol 🐱

Crap Ok lied I forgot to add. What made me an ELF a song called Let’s Not from their 3rd album. What made me stay is their personalities and quality of the music they put out. They truly make you fall in love with them outside their music. I can’t imagine a time where I will not love them. I don’t know about others here on your channel, but for me your journey with Super Junior is as if I get to relive mine. Your excitement makes me proud and happy that my boys are being discovered to this day and enjoyed to this day. 17 years active is truly a big deal and I can’t help but be proud of them and to be an ELF.

Can’t wait for you to dive head first into the sub units. Especially Super Junior K.R.Y. Songs are gonna melt your heart and break your heart. Sometimes in the same song 😅. And of course D and E who just have the most fun songs imo. But yeah Super Junior been the kings since day one. If you want to fall in love with them even more check out their variety show compilations. It’s amazing how much charisma and power they have when they perform and then their personalities are just these big crazy dorks 😂. Well, i heard of Suju in 2005, but I got pulled in the rabbit hole in 2010, by an Ost done by super Junior Kry, the ost of kdrama hyena, called the one I love. I love deep vocals, and kyuhyun's vocals got me. Ever since, i'm stuck in ELF world. and i didn't regret it at all.
Sorry sorry and Super Junior became an item in south east asia back in 2009, then spread to europe, south america, america, practically the whole world. In my country, Indonesia, Super Junior started to becpme a household name back in 2010..non kpopers would know super junior & sorry sorry. Not only them, but from housewives, students, merchants in the market even drivers of public transports would know that song & super junior. It was just that huge.. and to think that the beginning is sometimes twisted by younger fandoms, no offense, just saddens me.

I dont usually leave comments but I am really enjoying your suju reaction vids. Given that you are a Melody, I am very sure you would enjoy your Suju journey since both of these groups have a lot of similarities (that's why I love BTOB as well haha)
I've been an ELF since 2011 but i know suju since 2009. Mr. Simple album in 2011 made me an ELF because of their visuals and vocals. Eunhyuk has been my first and ultimate bias since then (he was blonde that time, looks so good). Yesung and Donghae are my bias wreckers. I guess we do have similar tastes. :)
Since you have seen Sorry sorry answer, I highly recommend the live version from KRY (choose the one which has Yesung in pink hair). I have goosebumps every time I listen to that live perf.

Black Suit - imo this is the best suju title track to date
Acha - this is an unsual and loud track. This might not be your type but the KRY vocals in this song are wild.
Superman - better react to a live version. This is like an anthem.
Heads up - SS8 live version. This is sexy.
Lucky ones - SS7 live version. The way they performed this is too cute and touching

I find the best way to get to know the members and their journey is to watch SJ Returns and Super TV. There are 4 seasons of SJ Returns and 2 seasons of Super TV. Both have left me wanting more. I can’t seem to get enough of the boys.
The best part is seeing how they really are one big family, and that the brotherhood is real. There’s no going back once you fall in love with Suju.

Most, if not all, of the high notes/adlibs in the background of Sorry Sorry Answer were done by the composer of the song, an older singer. Only few were done probably by Yesung. However, in the KRY live version of this song, Yesung did most of the high notes/adlibs.
Oh, you should definitely see a performance of "It's You," it's so good! I would suggest either the performance video or the concert performance from SS5 in Seoul.
Ah! I knew exactly what that look was when you paused at the beginning of Sorry Sorry, lol. Counting the members every time is an ELF trait. Also, while Sorry Sorry and SSA have similar choruses, they are two different songs, in both lyrics and style.
So, what made me become an ELF was probably the song "Devil," my all time favorite suju song to this day. While I wasn't deep into them just yet when I first listened and saw the MV, it was definitely the tipping point.
Current recommendations would be their performance of "Mirror" on Hidden Track and KRY's performance of "Shadowless" on Hidden Track as well. Both knock out vocals!

Their 2007 title track Don't Don was the song that made me an ELF, even though I didn't hear it until 2010. Been ELF ever since. The mv remains the only mv with 14/15 members of Super Junior family (sub unit inclusive). Only Zhoumi was missing from Don't Don. Zhoumi performed it with them at SS3 but there were members missing by then (it's an excellent performance!). If the sound of the song, the vocals, the energy were already not enough to win me over, then the lyrics sealed the deal. It has deep meaning about corruption from love of money and having a choice. The mv was re-uploaded in 2009 but it was first released in 2007.

I saw Siwon and Donghae in their Taiwanese drama, Skip Beat. Donghae didn’t have a lot of acting for me to explore, but I became a huge fan of Siwon’s acting.
Fast forward many years later, I saw the music video for This is Love. It was so classy, smooth, and Heechul’s gorgeous long hair with the red hat was breathtaking. I couldn’t help but be sucked in. 😊

My journey to become an ELF was rather strange. Last January I saw a tiktok clip about car accident witn SuJu in 2007. And there were words about practically losing one of the best voices... So it was inevitable to check this "perfect" voice (I was really sceptical st the moment, to be honest). That was Kyu. And my first ever SuJu song is Million pieces. So heartbreaking... but at the same time I was enchanted by Kyu's voice, his smile, his gestures, especially that moment with waltz and hugging after...
That was the beginning. All this year I was learning about their music, their shows, their oh so many other works and their personalities as well, so crazy, talented, humble, honest and comfy to the point where there was only one way for me and it was to love them.

I stimbled their 2020 guestimg in knowing bros as a celeb for their 15 yrs..& that ryt away made me really intrigued by them & fell in luv w/ theie personality 1st..it took me a few more days to get into their music coz I ws hesitant coz I was afraid I mut not lul their music as much as their personalities esp they'r 2nd gen grp..tho, I'm not tjat into d mainstream sound nowadays but still.. In Sorry Sorry Answer when you asked "who does that" that was actually SM's top producer and vocal trainer Yoo Youngjin who produced Sorry Sorry and other song for them. You'd notice if it doesn't show the members singing, it's most likely YYJ singing. But for live performances with KRY they sing the whole song.
'Sorry sorry' was one of their biggest hit !!

FYI the reason for why there was so many members in Suju, it's because they were originally formed as a project group, so everyone would eventually leave the group to go to another field of career (like as actor or even as comedian). And then the new one will be added and so on...
But, thank God, when suju debut, they're accepted well. Koreans love them and want them as a whole real boygroup.
