I'm still fairly new to using Inkarnate, and I am having a hard time figuring out how to actually create my own scale ruler using the shape tool. I've searched the website and your youtube page for any link or tutorial on how to create one or group objects together, but I've come up empty. Could you possible help me out with this by putting up a quick guide or how to?
@@itsan9nething339 You're not dumb. They're shapes made with the shape tool and the fill mask option. The link to the landmasses template is in the video description. Give them a try :)
I go for the Pangea approach as well. It's easier and more believable for how environmental catastrophe broke it up, if there is one. That' scene tool will make things far easier.
So how is it that this video is almost 4 months old and no one has pointed out the error in his "scaling?" It's a simple mistake but each square is NOT one thousand (1,000) square miles, it's one million (1,000,000) square miles. A square that represents 1K sq mi would only be a little over 32.6 miles on each side, meaning this entire planet he's creating is slightly under 652.5 miles in circumference. To find the area of a square we multiply two sides together to get the area (sq. mi in this case) 1K*1K=1MM
Using textures as a guide for shorelines, absolutely genius 🤯🤯
It works wonders! Have fun :)
One of my favorite things to create on Inkarnate.
Mine too!!!
Do y’all plan to allow landmasses to be rotated
I think it's on the todo list :)
How often are these streamed?
I believe the stream calendar is posted on their Discord server. Usually every Wednesday with some exception.

I love these videos, thank you. Can you please tell me the shortcut to flip stamps and lands, please? Thanks
You're most welcome.
1. There isn't a shortcut key for flipping stamps
2. We don't support flipping the FG layer yet just moving it.
How are you manipulating thr continents? I cant figure out how your rotating and adjusting the size up and down.
I feel dumb

Is there a feature to move landmasses?
Yes check the chapter titles.
I think it's a paid feature but yeah
Can I convert an existing map (from another tool) into inkarnate?
You can upload is as a static image you work on top of but likely not edit since they are two different tools.
Part 2 soon?
Yes I believe that is this Wednesday :)
@@inkarnate7021 Perfect timing on my part!

Yesterday no stream ?
No I was on vacation. There will be a stream next Wednesday :)
