Tired of people calling it AI. IT ISNT EVEN REAL AI. Just machine learning. People are falling for corporate buzzwords and hype. They should really call it "Appears Intelligent" because that's all it knows how to do.
Jay is 100% right. simply focusing on the negatives of AI is honestly lazy. ALSO everything Luke was mentioning i.e. bad art, bad videos, bad articles, etc are only referring to TODAY. OpenAI's Sora, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion only came out in the last 1-3 years and DALL-E 2 (when sharp text to image came about) is only 2 years old. it's only going to get better. not to mention, a lot of AI art today is pretty dang cool. but focusing on the positives -- speech-to-text transcription (for those with hearing impairments), assistants to observe the world around someone (i.e. smart glasses for visually impaired), language translation, tutoring students (this will improve dramatically, especially for those with learning disabilities), helping people understand complex documents, etc... and that's not even talking about the productivity improvements! I'm 5x more productive at work. Luke I love you but don't be a doomer boomer.
Man people that don't see the benefits of AI. I get that it's a threat and can be used for evil too...but trying to act like "it's garbage" is pretty lame.

That’s why they call him L man. L take on AI. There’s lots of bad AI and plenty of good AI. It’s a tool. You get out of it what you put into it.
