- I was at the Everton game against Crystal Palace on the 19.5.22.
It was the last home game of the season and we were very desperate for the 3 points to secure Premier League football next season.
Here is my video of my experience at the match from welcoming the team buses before the game to staying after to show our appreciation!!

As a Liverpool fan I was glad to see the Toffee's stay up in the top flight and I believe it was the fans that have dug in and helped saved the club from the brink, you can't knock the support. Nice touch for Chloe going in memory of her dad and im sure he was looking down too.

The atmosphere from the start to finish was something else, would have loved to hear what Frank Lampard said at half time to get that comeback. Will be interesting to see what Frank Lampard can get out of that team with a full pre-season

At HT I sat there with tears streaming down my face and then at FT the tears were back with just pure joy, relief, ecstasy and being absolutely emotionally drained..!! Please Please Please never again Everton, I couldn't take another season like that again, the tears at the end would have been replaced with a heart attack and an ambulance

So glad Everton stayed up matey,but I've got massive concerns for our great game going forward and that's fans going on the pitch,I totally understand the emotional ride in that 90 mins,but what's happening is frightening I went to see my team Sheff Utd on Tuesday at Notts Forest in 2nd leg of play off semi final and at the end the Forest fans went on pitch and some idiot butted Billy Sharp who wasn't even playing he had stitches in his mouth and the man who did this got 6 months imprisonment on thurs for assault and a life time ban from Forest,that's great but we all know what happened in the past when pitch invasions started up went the fences and we all know what happened after just ask your mate who supports the red half of your great city.This needs to stop now,I'm asking all football fans please don't go on the pitch cos you're action will have a reaction and that's bad for us all.Soz for going on a bit but I'm sure you'll agree us fans need to help each other and sort it before people in high places do summat we all don't want,anyway well done great vid that and I'm really pleased you didn't go down give Lampard time think he will do you proud.👍
The only way to stop pitch invasions is the bad days of the 80s and cage's. That's never happening in anyone's life time. One or two chumps will do something stupid but I believe they've been seen on every sports channel and can't escape punishment. Emosion caged?

You are exactly right. I was there in the Upper-Gladys whilst it went on, but my concern is that the FA and or, the PL will respond to this problem, largely due to past behaviour and resulting fencing in of, the danger to footballer's, and fan's, and more so because it is Everton Football Club since most unacceptable behaviour is ignored, or brushed aside until someone associated with Everton FC does it instead.
Human society love's it's favourite's, usually it's winner's, and condemns those that incite the most personal misfortune. Never has a football club had more misfortune this season than EFC.

More trouble: Leeds Utd and Burnley are threatening to sue the PL and Everton over Everton’s accounts, specifically huge losses the club attributes to covid-19 that are 3 x the covid losses cited by other clubs. Trying to get a points deduction or a fine - West Ham had to pay Sheffield United £20m in compensation in 2009.
Just pure bitterness that isn’t it.

Our additional losses beyond the impact of COVID have been attributed to the new stadium build and women’s academy etc…the club were assured by external auditors and the league at the time so I’m hoping this still stands…

I've just seen Burnley and Leeds are taking legal action against Everton for FFP violations. Reading it through it looks pretty serious maximum loses allowed for a three year period are £105 million Everton's loses are £371.8 million & the lawyer's for both club's well they're asking for points to be docked. Just when you thought it's all safe a shit storm hits. Everton have to beat Arsenal in case the FFP people deduct point's.
Those figures don't take into account adjustments for Covid losses and more. If we'd have lost you wouldn't have heard about it.

As an Evertonian, there, in the Howard Kendall Upper Gladys Street Stand, I completely agree - he was an idiot bating Viera when that is not only disrespectful, but the wrong way to celebrate staying up after being let down too many times by over valued, over indulged, and over paid footballer's.
However, only unintelligent, stupid no-marks like you generalise when so many, like myself and my Son would never had dreamt of running on to the pitch, and did not, as we were both raised properly, like so many others.
Even so, many were driven by relief and exhuberance in not having to face the greater task of getting out of The Championship in 2022-23 with a group of player's who have showed limited desire and fight during 2021-22, so there is some understanding for such behaviour, that essentially did not hurt anyone.
Every Evertonian knows it is not good enough and your "scummy fans" labelling say's more about you than it does anyone at Everton Football Club. You should be embarrassed and ashamed of yourself for being so basic in your response; violence only begets violence, it does not cure no solve anything.
People like you aren't welcome in football, nor any other civilised society.
