Without a doubt, the nicest 65 GTO‘s I have ever seen… Unbelievably impeccable! I better not ever hit the lotto, because I’m gonna make you an offer. You can’t refuse on at least one of them… Ha.😂👍👌
I’m 17 again I found my 65 GTO. On blocks. I put a HO 400 72 motor in it and had turbo 400 with a shift kit and 411 gear posi rear. It was my dream car. I’m 60 now I’m happy to see someone who loved this car so much. P S Pontiac should have offered the 421 for the GTO
Speechless!! Absolutely stunning cars. My first car in high school was a ‘65 LeMans. Lol…. I had it repainted, took off all the trim emblems and told my buddies it was a GTO. They didn’t know the difference.
Hi Dave, all of his Pontiac’s in his collection were stunning. I wish I had more time to film each car. As it was it took all of 8 hrs. To film his collection. Appreciate the comment.. follow us on Facebook. Over 24 shows booked for 2023.
My first car in HS was also a 65 lemans .. maroon with black interior and bucket seats. So many good memories. It had a transplanted 389 from I don't know what. Paid $190.00 for her. The 65 Lemans or GTO will forever be my favorite.
Beautiful GTO. In 1987 I was 26 years old when I became the second owner of a 1971 Pontiac Grand Prix.I kept it all these years in my garage, always road ready, was off the road for 11 years but I continued to drive it around the block and kept doing any maintenance that it needed. Now retired,I drive it every nice day, what a gem it is. Keep the Pontiacs going !!!
I bought my 67 GTO 4 spd in Baton Rouge in summer of 67. Graduated college in 68 and went to work at Shell Chemical Company in Deer Park Texas in May of 68. Lived by NASA MSC and my dealer was Gay Pontiac just a few minutes south in Dickinson, Tx. Don, Jr was a student at San Jacinto JC at the time. He was running both his funny car and a SS GTO. HIs Crew Chief was the Service Manager at Gay Pontiac. Jerry was his name. I had Jerry redo my Quadrajet for my Jardine headers and damn it ran rich unless the headers were uncapped, but a great car. Fun times.
Best witness to the 65 GTO I've seen and brings back many memories. I bought a new 65 GTO coupe in New Orleans and raced it on the streets, potholes and all. Mine was painted Teal Turquoise, Turquoise interior, 4 bbl, 4-speed, stock rear end 323, and had some optional stereo speaker kit that sounded like an echo chamber. The drive shaft would bump the bottom which was the only thing that irritated me. I believe I had one of the first of these cars in town and ran with 2 others of the same color except they had the 3-duce setups. Very fast off the line and always jumped the 442's, the various Chevy's and all other street-production challengers. Had to sell it when I went to Army Basic Training but would love to find it again. I've had some Vets but the GTO still has a special romance about it. Thanks for the show and the extensive Pontiac knowledge.
Great story about your 65 GTO. Thank you for serving. Enjoyed the short story about your 65 GTO. More Videos coming your way. Run to the Sun S.C. In March.
My 65 came with the 389 but those engines has a fatal flaw when building them up, the rocker studs are pressed in and a high lift cam tends to jack the studs out of the heads. I tried street racing two of those 389s because I wanted the stock sleeper look. I finally went with a ram air III 400 cube engine that had a forged steel crank. Had to use the 389 valve covers with 2 gaskets for rocker clearance and yet looked stock. Much better engine. Bought the car when it was 6 years old and had that car for 41 years. Loved that car.
OMG! Great cars, and appreciated by another New Englander. You mentioned "museum". I grew up in Brockton Ma, and now live in Ct, and visit LVD constantly. Maybe seen some of your cars at Muscle Palooza". Do you have an actual "Museum" for the public to visit? Would love to check them out personally. (Subscribed) Thanks.
do you know how many 1965 GTO's were made in iris mist with the vinyl top with black interior ? thats my favorite GTO my dad had one same color just with black interior.
Yeah Greg, I’m with you on that. But you must remember that high insurance premiums for Muscle was that battle. At least that’s what I remembered. Appreciate the comments.. I have 20 Shows scheduled… follow me on Facebook for upcoming Events.
Came back from Vietnam in 1969, purchased a 1966 GTO and my girlfriend wrecked it, totally. I purchased a 1968 GTO to replaced the wrecked 1966. Went back to Vietnam, and you guessed it, the dumb broad totaled that one also. Wasn't smart enough to look for a 1965 GTO (which is my favorite …now). You have I believe 4 of them, I just want one, but at 75 years old, I neither have the money to purchase one or the longevity to enjoy driving it. So, I just drive my 2023 Silverado truck.
Hello, I would like to contact Paul. I also have a Royal Bobcat and would like to connect and swap stories! I'm in the Air Force and deployed to Japan. But, I'll be back in the States in October. If possible, please contact me. Cheers, Joker

Wow, cool washer bottle! Ha Ha
Wow! I have a 67 convt, but my dream car is a tri-power '65.

Do you still have this awesome American Muscle in ur garage👍💪😎
Awesome ride!! It's to bad Pontiac didn't put the 421 as a standard engine in 65 all the way up till let's say 69-70 ?!?!
Yeah Greg, I’m with you on that. But you must remember that high insurance premiums for Muscle was that battle.

So you could run the Bobcat’s higher compression … can’t you get high octane fuel from somewhere(?)
i'm confused why he has Royal Bobcat on all of the '65s even though they don't appear to be performance upgraded.
Nightwatch Blue ?
i like that gto hat, but i cannot find it in china, what a pity😂
Got a woke GTO!
