I purchased the Orion last month after watching your channel and it has been the best garment I’ve ever bought, hands down (I bike in the Midwest and weather is volatile, so it’s a life saver). I trust your review! I have the ls crew and bottoms on the way and am excited to try them out for some winter cycling!
@@MissionWorkshopReviews For sure. I have a good friend who’s a DC cyclist. I just recommended him these base layers as well. It looks like a minimalist’s dream come true in terms of trimming excess exercise gear (I plan on making my winter workout gear simple: MW Baselayer + wind pro + Orion). Awesome company and thanks again for taking the time to review the products so well!
I'm intrigued by those. So that's not the kind that you wear for everyday use but for specific activities, right? Also, does the insulate the body well for like winter for instance? Thank you.
Right. These are base layers so I wear these when I am doing high activity. But you could wear them daily as part of your bike to work kit or if you are a messenger. The 37.5 is great with moisture management. As far as insulation, these aren’t thermal-but they’re not cotton either. They make a difference under a pair of pants but again not because they are insulate (although of course they do a little as an additional layer) but rather because of their moisture management abilities. Less sweat, less chills from being damp.
Hi, I've been a bike messenger for more than a year now but I never got into tech wear, the "tights under short" or "cap under elmet" combos and all those stuff, but with the winter comming I'm going to endure the cold for a second time on my bike and I wonder how many of those tights and tops do the typical messenger have to own, because they are pretty expensive! Can I wear the same every day an wash them on the week-end. Also, what's the tear and wear situation in a year or so for those? Thanks and cheers from Paris.
Bonjour! I have done some good delivery work in the past and bike to work now. These particular base layers can definitely be worn multiple times. Truth be told YMMV, but I am not a particularly sweaty/smelly guy. If you tend to sweat hard/smell man-ish, then maybe not all week but certainly every other day! Just let them dry out over night by hanging them. By the way, check out the Gobi merino wool beanie on MW’s sight. That hat is made for the under the helmet and is only $40. I can’t give enough praise for merino and it’s ability to not smell despite daily use.

I really appreciate that. I live in DC and we get cold and wet winters too. My Orion and these technical long johns are a great combo!
