i live in lafourche parish where the eyewall came it at and i got hit by the eyewall my street is just starting to get back power today

We just got power back yesterday up in citronelle al. Of coarse much weaker up here but the eyewall came through here too

Hats off to the region who seems to weather these storms better than expected. Unlike SE Michigan it gets a few minutes of 40-70mph winds and people are w/o power for 3+ days, roads blocked, etc. Then again, I'm sure a couple of inches of snow would paralyze Gulfport. Hey, it takes a couple of dumps for people in Michigan to get their act together anyway so don't feel bad.
