Piero looks so much like his father, he comes across as a well balanced, distinguished, and intelligent gentleman.
I agree. He has been extremely successful on his own.
I would say he sounds a lot less arrogant than his father and like an all around more diplomatic character who isn't as polarizing as his dad was.
Enzo was not an easy man to like, but he was steely focused on his goals and did not care about the consequences of his opinions much, so he made a lot of enemies.
That is fine for driving a company towards a goal when you have the market cornered like he had, but not good today for example.
@@barath4545 I think also Enzo had lost many family members so that made him probably very upset inside. To combat that, he had a very harsh external attitude towards things because he was pained due to his personal loss. Apparently he visited his son's grave every day. That's a fate I would never wish on anyone.
Gotta say, regardless of anything. Ferrari was always my dream car, since my dad took me to my first F1 race when i was ten years old in the 80s. Our team was SF and still is to this day.. The car Ive always wanted was a Ferrari. Ive owned many nice cars in my life, but in April 2023 i was finally able to buy my first Ferrari at age 45. I only wish my father was alive to enjoy it with me, Ferrari was the one common thing my dad and i had that we could always agree on! Grazie SF!

Great that Piero Ferrari has set the record straight about his father. The press always seem to enjoy demonising successful individuals but as he says Monday morning comes and life and work has to go on. The drivers knew the risks I guess.

Thank you for this video. I’ve met him in 1997 and saw him again and 2004 here in North America. The first time was the introduction of the Ferrari Marinello in the city of Beverly Hills then again at the Pebble Beach concourse in 2004 and he has a really nice guy. Very approachable. He looks like a dice guy on this video but if you were to meet him for real, he really is a nice guy. Well, thank you for this video.

Piero had to start his life as an official secret. Apparently he and his mother were known about by everyone except Laura, and eventually she knew as well. He was well taken care of but surely it was hard on him as a child. Ironically, as now owner of 1/10 of the company, he is far wealthier than his father ever was!
