    I love that you added music. It’s not loud and very relaxing.

      Thanks. I tried it a few times, then decided to stop. There are some people who get too distracted by background music.

      Thanks for watching. I'm very happy that you found my channel. Zentangle is the best meditation for me when I let go of worrying about what I draw. I hope you continue to use it as part of your mindfulness practice.

    I just watched your video from beginning to end. It is very relaxing, as always. I enjoy the music in the background, and your voice is so soothing. I also don't like coloring for the same reason, that is why I just got myself some watercolors to color the card (I use 4x6 Index cards) and then draw over it. It's a good idea. I watch this video again tonight and draw with you! Thank you Barbara! Happy Holidays! :)

    Beautiful Barbara, love your background music too 🎶.
    My tip Micron 01 pens do not last, think im putting too much pressure on them when i draw, any tips to make them last? Thanks

      Hi Helen. Many people have the same problem with the 01 fine tip. I love the fine line, but it can be easily bent or pushed into the barrel. In the past, I have heard Rick Roberts advice to imagine you’re holding a little robins egg in your hand while you’re drawing. You just have to be mindful of how hard you’re pushing on your pen. I prefer the Micron PN because it is a plastic nib and usually lasts longer. You just don’t get a very fine line.

      Thanks for letting me know. I'm glad you liked it. I've tried before and this is the first time it finally worked. I'm still fairly new at making and editing videos.

      I have to constantly remind myself! That's one of the reasons I named my channel Not Perfect Zen. :) My dog is a little over 2 years old now and she's a bundle of energy!

    Someone gave me an entire package of black tiles (300 gsm black card stock...). What to do with it?

    • @notperfectzen
      @notperfectzen  4 роки тому +2

      Hi Martha - there are so many things that you can do with the black tiles, but you'll need to have a white GellyRoll pen or something like the Moonlight GellyRoll pens. There are other brands of white gel pens you can use, but these are what I have. Zentangle has lots of videos on their UA-cam channel that demonstrate what you can do with the black tiles. Are you familiar with the Project Packs? Check out this list of videos for Project Packs at the Tangle Patterns website:
      tanglepatterns.com/zentangles/zentangle-project-packs
      November 2017 (Project Pack 1) is all about black tiles.
      August 2019 (Project Pack 6) has good ideas
      March 2020 (Project Pack 8) is all about GellyRoll pens.
      Also, Zentangle has an app for mobile phones called Mosaic and you can search for great examples. I hope this helps, and hope I didn't overwhelm you! :)
