You do come up with some amazing and pretty styles, even if I'm not coordinated enough to do most of them. That crimping hack was just so awful and burning hair root is never a good idea so I'm with you on that one for sure.
I just found her this week and I 100% agree! I also like the hack with the fold over small bun because it kept me from having kind of a weighted down bun in the back. I have long thin hair as in truly thin hair. She says she has thin hair but it looks like it’s super thick and gorgeous 😉💜…so finding someone that tries all these hacks and trends ahead of time is amazing. I don’t know why I couldn’t find her a year ago because all I could find was shoulder length and above hair hacks and when you have hair down in the middle of your back that doesn’t work.
Love your honesty. Love to watch your reactions plus, learning your ways to do the dutch braids. Jusr found you and i am hooked! Thank you for your ideas and honesty. Your awesome! Thank you for being you.
I love your videos! That being said, the one with harmony, she is a master at volume. So when you actually watch her video she tells you how to use a krimper or any tools to create more volume. And the trick is to hold your hair straight up. So I think if you tried that again you might be surprised that it actually does work. And starting at the root at a 90 degree angle makes a huge difference. Love the braids also!
@@LaineyMarieBeauty ya hear at the root seems a bit scary! I have such super flat hair that even when I backcomb it goes flat so I think this is aimed for people like that. Back combing risks breakage and heat is a risk as well. Different strokes I guess lol. I loved that you did a video testing all these popular tik Tok hair hacks!
👋 hey Lainey Marie I definitely agree with U on the 4 utuber tutorials. I will always try new ones and some I like and some I don't. So that's why I like watching ur channel, ur honest!
😅 I totally love your honesty! I have tried the ponytail hack before and yes, it was very weird on my straight hair, and I really thought it was just me, so thank you for confirming for me. Loved the little braid bun hack too!! 😁
Absolutely love your videos 😊 I cut my hair really short pre covid times, So I have been growing it out since and its now at a length I’m happy with, so I can try all these different hairstyles xx
🤣You make me laugh! I have just found your videos and think they are wonderful. Thank you for trying these methods out... the one with the good results is awesome! I'm gonna have to give it a try. 😊👍
I recently followed one of your quick updos for a wewdding and it was the first time that I've success with a hair style! I have long and thick hair, and I don't really know what I'm doing, so the videos I watch usually don't work for me. But yours did! I was so excited!
I’ve tried several of your hair tutorials, but it never works out for me. My hair is super long past my lower back. Thats most likely why, haha 🤣 I wish I could do one of your hairstyles and have it turn out like your tutorials.
Tic tock is a joke I’m only a decade only and I think you are very talented so keep it up! I’m all natural too. I love robe curls… that’s the reason why I follow! I have two boys too- they are the BEST-you don’t have to worry about their hair- for the most part! Keep it up girl!
Try this, instead use the blow dry method in 4 sections with a little mouse or other styling product on slightly damp hair! I do this before zoom meetings just in the front and it helps my hair have some shape when I’m lazy! I also do this with hair out of the shower if I’m letting it dry while watching Netflix. I twirl it and it sets into pretty waves at the ends!
You should try out the Ion automatic crimper from Sally’s! 😀 you just do the same motion you would for straightening your hair, but gives you beautiful crimped hair ❤
Thanks for trying these out and sharing with us! I love your channel!!! The ponytail one work for me but I think it's because though my hair is fine, I have a lot of it so styles and products that bulk it up make it look much fuller. For the crimper hack I have the Voluminzer crimper and use it this way and it does add a lot of body to my hair and I follow this person too on UA-cam but I'm blanking on her name and on UA-cam when she shows this crimper, she uses a lot of thickening products too because her hair is fine. I personally don't think you need it and if I didn't have it already I wouldn't buy it because I love your heat free curl method - now with the leggings! 😉😊
I enjoy your channel! I use your bun hacks all the time. I have long thin hair that can get frizzy at times so I hardly use a blow dryer anymore. I twist my hair in two sections while it’s wet and it let it air dry. It always turns out soft and smooth with a slight curl at the ends.
Just tried the braid buns! Took me longer than 5 minutes 😅 but it turned out super cute! Thanks for trying it, I had been wanting to but it's nice to know it works!
The vid was not a flop at all ! I was looking for a cute up do and the one with the braids and buns is super cute and I got a lot of compliments and I love it since there’s not a lot you can do with your hair in July in Florida!!!!
It slays me that crimpers are back “in”. I wonder if texturizing spray before you cramp would work. However just using the teaser comb is one step as opposed to texturizing spray, crimper, folding your hair over. For those with us like yourself with super long hair the less steps with your arms up in the air the better.
The Voloom actually works wonders. If you get a factory refurbished one, it's much less expensive. The crimper doesn't work because it's not creating "pockets". Seriously LOVE my Voloom...use it whenever I do my hair straight or beach waves in order to give lots of volume at the top.
I love your videos. I am growing my hair longer so I can try more of your styles. I have a mini crimper from Bedhead that was $27. It helps to get volume if you rub the roots with your fingertips after crimping. I don’t ever take the time to use it. 😆 I just use a volumizing powder.
I tried the ponytail on top of ponytail a couple weeks ago. My hair is thick at the crown but thinner below. The lower hair isn't thick enough to cover the upper hair well. It looked awkward to me and felt very insecure. It might work for someone with more balanced hair volume or thicker hair on the bottom, but not for me.
I wanted you to know I did the hair twist thing with wet hair and it works good. It takes a long time to blow dry but it came out good. I used some Oribe blow dry styling creme and the curls even kept the 2nd day.
Thank you so much for your videos! Your hair is gorgeous! I tried the link for the hair oil listed, but it didn’t take me to a product. Could you check the link?
The braid (second one) is the only one that works. The rest is a thumbs down but I am betting the tangle teaser teasing brush/comb. Thank you for testing all these hacks. As always you are great! ❤
I do the two twists, but I do it when my hair is just barely damp, and let it chill. No blowdryer.... other than drying my roots quickly. Then when I run my fingers through, I have spiral curls at the bottom.
@@LaineyMarieBeauty I'm usually just chilling while they dry, so they don't stay very tight at the top, but the bottom part stays in the spiral twist. I also will move my hair and twists around as my hair is drying. What I mean is, I'll take all of my hair over to one side, and make one big twist. Let it chill for a few minutes. Then switch all of my hair to the other side in one big twist, let it chill for a few minutes. I'll split it into two twists, let it dry a bit more. By the time it's completely dry, I have spirals all along the ends of my hair. The key is that it's barely damp once I start doing this. Basically it's just the humidity in the air holding my twists together, which makes them stay better. It also makes it sleeker with no frizz. I do have virgin hair, but it's pretty coarse, and doing this makes it lay so nicely. I hope I explained it well enough. I enjoy all of your tutorials and you have beautiful hair!
Actually crimping works amazing, you have to do more that one strand tho, you do every other section and you will be amazed. I just got finished crimping my hair because the volume it gives is amazing. You have to try it again and do more than one strand cuz that wont do anything!!
I feel like if someone had shorter or even more fine hair these could work. Extra long hair or heavy hair it's harder to hold a root volume or pony tail volume, or even hold bouncy curls for any length of time. It eventually will just hang. Long hair is beautiful, but without tons of layers & texture it can be difficult to achieve some of these looks.
You really should have bought the voloom tool. It works differently than a crimper. You also should have crimped more than one row. But I found the voloom to be amazing!!!
A three barrel curling iron would work better than that crimper. I hate hair crimpers - but the 3-barrel curling irons (there's several brands to choose from) definitely gives my hair, which is fine/thin and FLAT, a ton of volume. The faux dutch braids with the bun at the bottom is very cool!
I got the voloom it does work. You do have to do two or three sections stacked to get the volume. But also voloom is not a crimper the pattern is different and that's what gives it volume. I heard using a crimper does not have the same best results 🤷♀️
$50? Darn. That's a lot in this day and age. I've been trying to do the messy bun where you flip the tail over and pull the rubber band around.. I CANNOT figure this out. Have you done a video on this? In slow-mo, by any chance? (From someone with baby fine hair.. unfortunately. It just falls out of every bun.) Thanks for doing these for us.. love your facial expressions. We all can relate!
Agree that your ponytail doesn't look any different when divided in two. The braids looked very nice. Yeah, the last two were flops. Gonna agree with you there, for sure.
The 3rd blowout video is not going to create the same effect because you don’t have short layers like the girl in the original video had. Hack videos can be misleading because everyone has different hair…different thickness… different textures(frizzy, smooth, curly, wavy, straight) so some hacks will work amazing for some people and some hacks won’t work at all on others. I wish more people understood this because it would fix a lot of confusion lol.
I find the crimp tool trick hard to believe working, but it might possibly work better if you used a tool that would make wider waves. I wish I didn't have trust issues with plastic hair elastics. Every time I see someone wrap them around all of their hair or wrap a small piece of hair more than twice I internally cringe because they snap for me immediately or shortly after because my hair is so thick, lol. *sigh*
OMG - i cannot tell you how many times I've had a crappy hair elastic snap on my finger. That's the worst pain! Lol and agreed with you on the crimper tool. I've had people say the voloom one is actually really good, so idk, maybe i'll just cave in and buy i!
My daughter in law uses the crimper but then she teases the crimps. It's like teasing on steroids. Try that before you give up on the crimper and see if that works.
The second hack to me didn't look like the video u showed. I am sure there r other comments on this but she made the bun after she pulled it through the braid. Maybe the way u showed was easier but I would think it would but a lot harder to take down. I'm no hair expert, hence y i am watching hair tutorials, but I watch these for my daughter. She is 8 and love trying hair hacks. However, when she is at school she insists on taking her hair down. Remember she's 8. She obviously hates when hair ties get stuck. It's so funny to see the kids using a crimping iron like it's a "new" thing. LMAO. We did it all the time in the 80s just because it was funky.
