In this video, I share How I Got a Cheap High-End Custom IEM (custom in-ear monitor), specifically a 64 Audio A12, which was their previous flagship model from years ago. Hopefully, this information will help some of you who are looking for a bargain flagship CIEM. I understand that this may not be for everyone, but I hope it helps some of you.
Please let me know if I missed anything or if you have any questions.

Great IEM overall only complaint is the BA timbre
I spent under 600USD total with re-shell cost. Of course your mileage will vary.
Hey thanks for making this video! I have a question, how would you compare the sound quality on the A12 to your LCD-X?
Thanks for checkin it out 🙏🏽
Yeah they are both really high quality and very transparent. However lcd-x is know to have a really beefy low end. In terms of resolve and resolution I think they are both great. Function wise they both excel at different things. I would rely more on the lcd-x for mixing/mastering plus its a little more fun listening on open back cans, then stage monitoring/tracking a12 would of course be my go to.
Doesn't the tuning going to change?
Im really happy with mine but I haven’t really done an AB test, great idea to do one compare with the universal one. I’d try and do that next time.

reshelling 64 on itsfit not a good idea
i have a friend that did the same, he ended up getting different tubing after reshell 😂 and also some fkd up polarity on XO (a18s unit)
you should only reshell the iem at their own respective brand otherwise u basically buying bad iem with many drivers
Too bad for your friend. Tho I was going off of a recommendation of a headphones/iem dealer here in SG and great experience from his other customers. Not really going in blind. Of course experience will be different and may not be consistent. Though I don’t get how they mess up XO if they’r simply reshelling, why would they need to unsolder the drivers from one another if it’s working? Don’t they simply move the drivers intact and swap shells?
