@@Bullwine I know how the 3rd strike rule works, but not why it came to be, its seems completely random. It must be to prevent something, keep the pitcher honest I guess, getting someone to strike out on a terrible pitch must have run rampant at some point, so they let them steal first. Infield fly rule is to prevent a fielder from purposely getting the lead runner out, drop the ball on purpose and throw them out. Oh, I know I'm an old fogey, but I miss the days when ballparks were named for something other than corporations. We used to have Comiskey, Navin, Forbes, Crosley, Shibe, Ebbets, Griffith and the wonderfully-named Sportsman's Park. Now, all we have are corporations. However, I'd love to see some parks named for heroic players. Like Willie Mays Stadium in San Francisco or Greenberg Gardens in Detroit. For a brief moment, Forbes Field left field fence was called Greenberg Gardens when the Pirates obtained Hank Greenberg from the Tigers. But think of Greenberg Gardens for a moment. from 1934 through 1945, the Tigers were almost the only thing standing in the way from the Yankees winning a dozen pennants in a row when Detroit won four pennants and two WS. And, Hank Greenberg was probably the biggest reason for that. And, talk about heroism. Hank was the first baseball player to enlist in WWII. Comerica Bank should take a hike!

The Tampa Bay Rays shall move to a brand new 35,000-seat fixed roof ballpark next door to Raymond James Stadium in Tampa and the Oakland Athletics shall not stay in California due to a failed brand-new 50,000-seat ballpark in San Jose.
I go to dodger stadium a few times a year and 56,000 capacity always seemed normal to me until I saw that other stadiums are like only 37,000 and realized dodger stadium is very unusual that way.
Parks from the 90s and early 2000s have the best exteriors. I think Camden Yards is the best exterior. Except for the Dimonbacks... They missed the memo apparently.
My least favorite are the Trop and Yankee Stadium, and yes i've been to most of them. Yankee Stadium is so cold and soul-less. Blue Jays park feels much the same way (but a little more ambient than Yankee Stadium). I like most all the rest of them, favorite is probably the San Diego park. The A's stadium is a dump but if they took down that big upper deck in the middle it would actually have a nice view and have a classic California look to it.
Yeah I'm gunna stick with old yankee stadium, it was alot louder, ticket prices were reasonable, I can do with the bs high end restaurants they have there cause when I go to a ballgame the last thing I wanna do is pay a high amount for a ticket just to miss half the game to go get a steak, over all the new yankee stadium lacks all the qualities of the old Yankees stadium

Teams will also normally play multiple road sereis in a row and multiple home series in a row, Road trips are also often focussed in one part of the country to reduce travel, i.e. a team may play games 3 in Oakland, 3 in LA, and then 3 in Colorado, then get an off day and return home for a stretch.
