- Parshah Beshalach is full of curiosities and unusual features both in the Hebrew and Torah scroll. In this episode, we consider the unusual word used to describe how Israel left Egypt “armed” with weapons. We will also glance at the “72 Names of God”. We will examine the bizarre way The Song of the Sea (Exodus 15) is written in the Torah scroll. There are other things, as well, that we will look into, but be sure to pay attention to what this portion teaches us about tests. They aren’t what you think they are!

You are too kind, Dante. Thank you for those encouraging remarks. Shalom to you.
I heard that that the 72 letters were the key to the pronunciation of the Tetragrammaton.
There are a lot of things said about these 72 names. But who knows?!
Is it possible to source the transcripts for your 'Parshah Seasonings' talks?
They are a blessing. Thank you
I'm not quite sure what you mean by "source the transcripts." Explain please?
Apologies for being unclear. I'd love the copies of your notes on these talks if possible? Is that something you would consider emailing perhaps? It would be most helpful for those of us meeting in small home-based congregations on Shabbat.
Aha! I understand now. You can easily do that by going to our website: www.TorahTodayMinistries.org. Find the teaching you are looking for, and click on PRINT NOTES. Please let me know if you experience any difficulties. Shalom! Grant
@@grantluton Many thanks!
It is said that fruits grew out of the walls of water like in the creation.
That's right! The Sages figured that since the early part of the creation story was depicted at the Red Sea crossing, why not the rest? So, let the fruit trees grow!
