    You are an absolute legend mate! I wish they would teach in schools how British ingenuity and the mastery of risk can lead to feats as incredible as yours that straddle the limit of human ability! And the fact we're still exploring the mother cave of cave diving, Wookey Hole, is amazing in itself. Here's to exploration and hopefully a chamber 26!!! 😁👍👊

    Hi Chris really liked the informative overview of the dive within the voiceover work you do, helps to give the viewer a better understanding of what the dive involves 👍🏻🙂

      Thanks. The narration ended up being a good way to take some otherwise relatively dull footage and make something of it. I think I'll use this approach again.

    A boulder choke in a dry cave is fine, doesn't bother me, I go through them all the time. But 70m under water with full diving kit on and 2.5 hours into the dive? Mental

    How does Chris not have lots more Subs? Caving and the Diving involved are super complex, it really takes a certain type of person to live in the moment and make correct decisions under the most pressure literal and mental is incredible. I have huge respect for these lads.

    Nice video Chris, really enjoyed the informative voice-over. Makes a nice change from Rick (who I have the odd beer with) who as I'm sure you know can be a bit minimalistic when describing his dives!
    The silt section reminds me a bit of the first few sumps in P8 (though obviously far deeper) which as a non-diver I've been through as far as sump 4 in drought years.

    Great video. Fascinated by Wookey chambers and Swildon's 12th sump. Any gut feelings if/when Wookey 26 will ever be reached without some massive advance in tech/deco or if Swildons 12 will ever be passed?

    A bit of topic, what shears are you using? I've been struggling to find some I like with a holder.

    • @ChrisJewellCaveDiver
      @ChrisJewellCaveDiver 3 роки тому +1

      Hi Luke, they are shears from RS but the holder does not come with them. That holder is just an old knife holder that I modified.

    Excuse my ignorance, but what is the PVC pipe strapped to your backup tank/cylinder for?

    • @ChrisJewellCaveDiver
      @ChrisJewellCaveDiver 3 роки тому +1

      This is a silt screw which is used to secure the dive line when there isn’t a suitable alternative. Push the pipe into sand or gravel to make a secure belay. This pipe is larger than normal for a really secure placement in a section when the line usually breaks
