LEMON BROWNIES :
Ingredients
1 cup (226 g) unsalted butter melted and cooled to room temperature
1 ½ cups (300 g) granulated sugar
2 Tablespoons lemon zest avoid the pith
1 large egg
1 large egg yolk
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
½ teaspoon lemon extract
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
2 ½ cups (310 g) plain flour /all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon cornflour/ cornstarch
¼ teaspoon baking powder/ soda
¾ teaspoon salt
LEMON GLAZE
¾ cup (95 g) Icing sugar /powdered sugar
1-2 Tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest
Method:
Preheat oven to 350F (175C) and grease and flour a 9x9 baking pan or line with parchment paper. Set aside.
In a large bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, and lemon zest. Stir well.
Add egg and egg yolk, lemon juice, lemon extract, and vanilla extract. Stir again until well-combined.
In a separate, medium-sized bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
Stir dry ingredients into wet until completely combined. Pour into prepared 9x9 pan and transfer to 350F (175C) oven. Bake 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs. Allow to cool completely before covering with glaze.
LEMON GLAZE
Once lemon brownies have cooled, prepare glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon lemon juice, and lemon zest until well-combined. If mixture is too stiff, add remaining lemon juice, 1 teaspoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached (when you lift a spoon or whisk out of the mixture, the glaze that drizzles off the spoon and falls back into the bowl should hold its ribbon shape for a few seconds before fading back into the rest of the glaze).
Pour glaze over lemon brownies, use a spatula to smooth evenly over the surface.
Allow glaze to harden (about 15-30 minutes) before slicing and serving lemon brownies.

Yummy. Those skewers look nice, my shells are all ready & in fridge fir tea Tomorrow night. Your roast dinners look so good I love a big roast dinner with loads of veg, but it always tastes so much nicer when some1 else has cooked it for you. You cook 1 for me Hailey!! 😊

Hi Hailey lovely meals my favorite is the sunday dinner I loved the lemon brownie and I can't wait to sèe the part 2 school puds the 60 and 70s well I was at school in the 60s and finished senior school 69 I was 15 I went to an all girls school I missed going comprehensive and staying on till was 16 we had lamb Sunday dinner I cut the boned rolledleg of lamb in half it was massive the whole leg too much for 2 so I've only got chops gammon steaks in the freezer and a piece of pork think when I goto the butchers ill get some pork steaks and so stew steak. Love gran xxxxxx❤

You olso could do a vegtables big shells with peppers onions mushrooms sweet corn and puta nice chesse sauce on top to finish it off I am on sw and looking for some recipes to try with veg 🐝🐝
Hi Hailey loved meals of the week especially the pork roast dinner ,I didn’t do a roast yesterday I done a chicken curry but we will have one definitely next Sunday ,as I have got a pork joint like yours from my Christmas meat shopping in the freezer, going to make some more of those pigs ears and more sausage rolls they all go down well in our house xxx

Your lemon brownie looks delicious. I love anything lemon flavoured and one of my cravings right now is cakes so I’m going to have to go buy the ingredients to make that tomorrow now 😋

Yes you can get the extra large ones here in the grocery store. Love the video and i am going to try the lemon brownies. I have made peanut butter brownies but not lemon.
u guys get so much stuff that you think would be universal, such as the xl wraps, but I had to go through a Mexican online shop for them. the lemon Brownies, so yummy x

Try the Asian shop or the Chinese shops or Mexican even Indian I stay at in the east side of Glasgow but I I need to get some things I go to the Mexican shop for Spanish smoked paprika in a tin a wee bit dearer but I know I am buying the good stuff and it last a lot longer as you are not using as much it takes me two buses to get there but ther is an halal butcher Indian roots and fruits and a chesse place gets me out fora walk as well 🐝🐝
