Hi Graham! One of the benefits of training in security is that the average salary for an SIA Door Supervisor is between £10-14 an hour! With many options to progress and earn much more if you choose to become a supervisor or manager👍
If you want to renew your licence, yes you have to do first aid training and top up training as well. But if you think you will not be working at licensed premises then you can chose to do security guarding top up (half day) instead of door supervisor top up
Hi, all I have a expired door supervisor license it expired October 2021. I want to turn it in to a security guard licence. Do I just do the security guard top up training or will I also need to do a working as a security officer exam?
If you have basic English level that's fine. No formal qualification is required. But you will need to do emergency First Aid training and top up training
Hi, my license expired in late 2020 and I'm looking to renew it now. I know I will definitely need the first aid at work cert, but do I still need to do this top up training if I already completed a DS upskilling course back in 2013 aswell? Pretty sure I already know the answer to that, but thought I'd ask here anyway to be sure. Cheers for taking the time if you reply.

The nature of the job is why. Security industry is due for a pay rise big time. Last one was over 15 odd years ago.... Ridiculous -.-
