This literally just happened to me after a factory reset, same error screen and inability to progress to either reset the phone or restart it.
I shall keep looking back here should you find a solution or an update from Google Pixel.
Will keep you updated hope google releases a fix for this soon

Happened to me 2 days ago with a brand new Pixel 6 I've bought.
Google has just explained it's a bug in the last June update.
Just wait a little bit they will update the Google Online Pixel Repair to fix this issue.

If you have a working phone :
Leave your device powered on and idle for 15 minutes after it has rebooted following a system update. Factory reset only after that.
Or Factory reset before taking the latest system update.

Same I've tried everything as well. Google refused to help without payment. Received error after update and then factory reset. And with OEM locked because I had no idea my pixel was gonna not turn back on. Were in the same boat but unfortunately this is my daily phone 😢
This is a widespread issue google should fix this without charging anything as it is related to software not the hardware I believe lets hope for a fix soon from google
I also tried to contact google, as it happened to me yesterday.
Their support refuses to answer any questions regarding the issue and just talk in circles on things I should do that don't work.
I'm having the same problem, can't even flash the official ROM.
How did you open fast bootload option which button did you pressed? And any update regarding the issue ?

happened to me too, called google they offered me 20 percent off on new pixel. they say they cannot fix it.
Very disappointed honestly the way they are handling this issue.
i got it yesterday and they decline to help me.
They don't want to say if there is a fix and just talk around answering it.

Currently there is no update from google regarding any fixes i am hoping for a fix once i get something i will make a video 100% how to fix in the meantime stay active on google and reddit forms a lot of people are having the same issue
Google has no fix, the best they are offering is for us to _pay_ 259 CAD (in Canada) to get it fixed.

Having a similar issue but I did not factory reset. I simply restarted my Pixel 6 and it won’t turn on. I can’t even get the boot loader screen. Device shows no sign of life.
And still no solution from Google. How much longer do we need to wait?

Can't do anything on fastboot if it's flashing locked, which it would be for most of us.
