I don't blame Matt and Chester one bit for ambushing that gang of murderers the way they did, and the four killers who died in the ambush were the lucky ones because they escaped the fate at the end of a rope that they really deserved.
Let's see. These bandits slaughtered families to rob them, and they used a method of deflecting suspicion that _almost fomented a war_ as a side effect! That's one of the worst aspects. While a war wasn't their goal, they almost started one anyway.
