12:52 fun fact, you can see that Mr.Bobinsky has a medallion, its actually a medallion given to people who helped clean up the chernobyl accident, meaning his skin is blue because he has radiation poisoning
Actually Wybie doesn’t even exist in the original book, the writers completely made him up because they wanted someone for Coraline to talk to around her age
i love this movie so much, it took me so long to realize the director also directed nightmare before charismas, gotta live that weird, creepy but fun vibe movies.
as someone that devoured everything related to Coraline theories and rewatched most or probably just the ones from (Theorizer) and (abitfrank) well... I just watched those 2 like 4 times....
11:40 the nightmare before Christmas is why. For the majority of the time the movie has existed most people saw “Tim Burton’s” in front of the title and assumed that meant he directed it, on top of that all of the movies usually do have very similar styles to his, I mean compare The nightmare before Christmas, corpse bride, Frankenweenie and Coraline’s characters to each other and try to tell me that they don’t look like they’d come from the same person.
Ohh, Coraline. I'm still sad I missed when it was in theatres again for the remaster. It's a good movie! The book is also very good, and Wybie is not actually in the book. Apparently they added him so that Coraline wouldn't just be talking to herself all the time or something. Also, a ring of mushrooms is considered a fairy circle. Some believe that they're bad luck, and that humans that enter them might encounter fae/fairies or some other being that will do them harm. They're also kinda common around wells b/c of moisture and stuff.
I watch this movie 2 times in month this October and Holly sh*t! I love this movie even more as a kid back then. Sure it's scary and disturbing to see, but coraline still holds up after 15 years. It's still a cult classic.❤
Not gonna lie, stop motion use to creep me out. I was watching a WatchMojo video about scariest UA-cam music videos and one of the mentions was from a song called “There, There” by RadioHead. Granted, I haven’t seen the full video but they showed a disturbing sequence of a man running in fear through the woods and as he was, his shoes came off (that turned into little hedges) and when his feet touch the ground, he slowly turns a tree. Branches were tearing out of his clothes, his skin was turning to bark. It then cuts to the moon overhead and when we see the man again, all we see is a tree with the horrified face of the man in the trunk. So, that little sequence kinda scarred me for sometime. It took some time for me to get over it. And I know it’s fake but when you see something like that, it tends to stick with ya.
The one thing I like about this movie is that The first time I watched it, I thought it was amazing, I wanted an Other Mother But every time I watch it the more horrific everything behind that trapdoor is to the point where I searched up "beldam meaning" and it's a shapeshifting Witch that uses the power of Satan to get spider powers (not like Peter Parker) and consumes children to keep that power The little door is literally just a mouth and digestive system that's got 100% in Dark Souls intelligence and just is blasting the Chameleon spell whenever a child is within 100 meters

"Very interesting art direction, essential for the plot" yeah lol, I kinda hate how this "art direction" is in so much where it doesn't matter, like Oppenheimer.

I just noticed that Coraline is left handed.
This is genuinely my favorite movie review of yours, quite fitting considering that it's October. Flawless as always boss
Appreciate you. Still got one more spooky movie coming
this movie used to scare the shit out of me lmao
same
Same, we had to leave in the middle of the movie
Real
Wow. Appreciate your work. Thanks bro
3:11 sounds metaphorical, "seeing stars" as a disoriented person probably would from such an experience. could be wrong don't know for sure.
2:45 You saying that Wybie's name was probably mentioned in the novel is funny cuz he doesn't even exist there😭😭
This movie is so dark for no reason I had nightmares as kids bro
i love this movie so much, it took me so long to realize the director also directed nightmare before charismas, gotta live that weird, creepy but fun vibe movies.

6:29 THE MEME
this movie is a master piece, the foreshadowing is literally top tier and the story is incredible.
The key thing the mom does is just a mom thing tbh 😂😂

Making up a song about coraline
This movie traumatized me for months
This was confusing to watch but u explained really well or else i wouldn't know what is happening
16:25 MGRR template, idk if anyone cares but I do... Nanomachines son, they harden in response to physical trauma!
I used to be so scared about coralline and I just kept getting nightmares it gaves me chills🥶
Did everyone else notice that the doll that was returned to the other mother was one of the ghost children/Wybie’s grandmother’s sister
A little note, at 8:45 actually The rash isn't from the mushroom circle but because she was holding a stick of poison oak that was her Dowsing rod.

This was easily the scariest and on of the best movies I watched as a kid
btw this film is an adaptation of a book and the lore of coraline is so complex i love it
this is one of my fave movies ever
When I first watched Coraline as a baby I kept on rewatching it
The next movie you should watch is the bad guys
That is very true for the night terrors
Can you do the nightmare before Christmas next or maybe IT or IT 2?

Coraline has a hand rash because she touched poison oak. Wybie tells her that when she’s playing with a branch.
Oh so that’s what that one simpsons episode was based on
Wait, really?
How disturbing? Thats the question
wyborn isnt in the novel i think
As a kid I have a theorist brain so while I was watching I was piecing together he parts
Hello👋
