Red Kiwi PNW Gardening

Red kiwis are popular in Italy and other parts of Europe. Not so much here. Red kiwi is very rare and new to US. It is a medium size fruit that have a rather smoother less fuzzy than green kiwis. The flesh is golden yellow with strawberry center.
Size: Medium
Sweetness: 7/10 not as sweet an golden kiwi
Flavor: 7/10 sweet with hint of strawberry flavor. No acid flavor like in green kiwi.
Overall ratings: 7/10
Price $$$
Due to the price and size i still prefer golden kiwi which is commonly avaliable in the US. The red kiwis will be imported and the price will reflect it. It is not expensive becuase it taste the best. It is expensive to ship overseas usually from Europe to US and it doesnt store well. Unless you want to try it it is not necessary. Once these are grown in US i believe the price will be compareable to Golden kiwi. I would recommend locally grown or CA grown would be better than imported fruits.

Is this the Kens red kiwi? Also, do you know if golden kiwi will grow here in Seattle area?

no these are fuzzy kiwis, kens red are hardy kiwi very different. golden kiwis are recommended for zone 9 we are in zone 8.
