technically raps already, just with fry's and growls... if you actually listen to a lot of their songs there are already fast rhythmic sections which are basically rapping with harsh vocals
He’s talked quite a bit about doing opera training to build his screaming technique, so I did expect him to be able to sing, but he’s got a lovely smoothness and clarity to his voice. I love the little falsetto cries he sprinkles in there for that emotional kick, too. I’m curious to hear if he’s got more vibrato and faster runs in his bag, but even if not he’s still got a voice to be proud of. 🙂 And you have to love the angel/demon juxtaposition. 😂
I have to remember this is a Will Ramos reaction and not a Sleep Token reaction. You are doing yourself a sharp disservice by making this your first Sleep Token experience. Please just listen to them!

Listen to Vildhjarta Kaos2 Or The Faceless, both bands blend it beautifully. It will change you’re mind. Will 100% should bring this to Lorna Shore, it will only evolve and elevate their game.

Also I had the same exact reaction when I heard Will start singing
Will said in his interview with The Charismatic Voice that he had been taking vocal lessons from an Opera coach to expand his vocal techniques. He's doing a DAMNED good job of it. He also said he wants to incorporate clean vocals into his music so people can sing along with his music more. I am absolutely thrilled and cannot wait. Also: I'm super gay for Ramos, too. Dude is gorgeous.

One thing to note is that while it is not a requirement, learning to sing clean can make scream vocal quality a lot better. So it was no surprise that he could sing, as he has learned to control his screams so well.
His cleans reminded me of Sonny Sandoval from P.O.D and the track Def Tones. Gonna have to check out more Sleep Token. Will did a phenomenal job covering this!

Sleep Token is an amazing band, but don't go in expecting them to conform to any one genre. That's the beauty of ST - they're definitely a mix of different genres, and you never really know what you're going to get. Worship!

I say don’t sing in Lorna shore or do it but only on like bonus tracks. Like a deluxe edition that has a clean chorus to an already heavy song. Other than that stay heavy on the entire album
