WOW! I've heard that gun was easy to field strip to clean. But this video shows that it's almost as easy as cleaning my Glock!

The Benelli Nova/Supernova line: the easiest guns to field strip, but...
I found is much easier to use my brass gunsmithing hammer and brass gunsmithing punch (no, wait, instead two wooden punches made from some old souvenir Panda Express chopsticks sitting on my kitchen table for over a year which I rounded and tapered the tips with my Swiss army knife and just committed to my gunsmithing toolbox, brass can still wear off bluing on pin ends and heads and leave a golden-color residue) set to knock those two takedown pins out of the receiver holding the trigger assembly and gently tap them back home again. If you have steel or nylon roll pin punches, those should work just as well. The book that came with the gun, my new Supernova, said to use the magazine tube cap as a pin tool but the point on the end of the cap isn't long enough to push the rear pin all the way home as it is in a recessed part of the receiver left-hand side. Using the rim of the cap as a hook to pull this rear pin out by the head doesn't work for the same reason. It just slips off the head of the pin. Too far deep in a recessed part of the receiver to get a good bite on the pin's head. All in all, this gun is much simpler to field strip than my Remington 870. You have to compress the bolt into the bolt carrier under spring tension according to the manual and tilt the bolt out of the receiver a special way to pull it out and carefully tilt it 45 degrees at a slight twist to put it back in but it's no big deal. The pump forend and action bars are pretty easy to get in and out of the receiver and engage with the bolt carrier.

    Nice review.
Tell me something my friend maybe you know better!!I have a couple questions, and I would greatly appreciate any information!
My serial number first letter ( Z ) it is faintly printed in relation to the other letters and numbers.
    1) Is the letter ( Z ) the one for all benelli Super Nova??
2)The time has come after 10 years to renew my license. Do you think I will have a problem with the faintly printed letter Z on my serial number?

The two side pins won't come off. What am I doing wrong?

How do you start this process if your Supernova has a mag extension? Mine does, and there is no cap to unscrew.

So does the magazine spring and follower just not exist? The gun come with these separate. Would be great to see how to install as the manual ALSO pretends these parts do not exist.

Nice shotgun, but how about a video (and a goddamn manual addendum) for the twctical pistol grip model?? Pretty back when you have to watch a video of a guy disassembling one on his kitchen table to be able to do it?? Oh, ya, and hiw about making the nuv on the end of the nut a little deeper so you can actually get under the rear pin in the back!?

My trigger pack does not come out. I have the tactical version with pistol grip. I remove both pins but no matter how hard I pull, the trigger pack doesn't budge.

      1. The pistol grip nut must be loosened first as the warning says in the manual (mine don't have a pistol grip). Otherwise, there is not enough space to remove the trigger guard
      2. The trigger group might be jammed in the receiver due to somewhat rough tolerances between parts. I had to pull pretty hard and had a hard time installing it at first too. I ended shaving up a bit of plastic from the trigger guard base where it had a too-tight fit with the receiver.

The method for cleaning inertia shotguns is essentially the same. Check out our video here: ua-cam.com/video/M43JWDdR7Ic/v-deo.html, while we are considering the request. Hope this helps!

No Brasil uma Benelli Montefeltro está custando no minimo 25 mil reais (6 mil euros). Está absurdamente caro.
