@@Bjmc4uk I think I counted 14 overhead slams without stopping with that sledgehammer when they were knocking one of the metal beams out. Amazing strength.
I love how Yanis has become such a principal member of the team. 🙂 I remember when he first appeared in the earliest days of the Kitchen Project, when the original floor and demolition rubble needed removing! I can’t believe that's a year and a half ago already!!
Yanis is turning out to be quite the young man. If he sets his mind to it there isn't anything he can't do Billy so keep teaching him what you know maybe he won't turn out like the youth we have today that's not willing to learn anything other than phones and PlayStations
@@normareed9007 Ah I didn’t know that! That’s really nice for him 🙂 I just assumed he was from Erneé, or somewhere nearby, and then went back home at the end of the day.
I felt compelled to comment on the dangly chain around Yannis’s neck when he was sawing that beam. If that saw kicked back he could have a serious injury. Please keep the chain inside your shirt or leave it off around automated or vibrating tools. Not a fuddy dutty just a concerned grandma.
I honestly do not know what Billy would have done without the magnificent Yannis. He is gold dust with extra gold. He has been tutored by experts, which shows, but his energy and enthusiasm and willingness come from within. Just outstanding and rare these days. 😀
Billy, your dad must be so proud of all of you. The look on his face as he watches you and Yanis do these things and how you learn from him… is a legacy I’m sure he is proud of! ❤ Much love to the whole family.
Wow, those beams look Beautiful! Great reuse of materials!!! Mick, the potatoes look wonderful and it is moving to think of the garden coming back into caring hands. You are a master craftsman with every medium.
Happy to see the wonderful progress in the beam cutting and installation. Yiannis is a lean, mean metal cutting machine!! You guys get a kick at his accent when he says, let's crack on.
Such a naughty title (in the US at least) for such a great video. Beautiful music!!!!! YANIS, I WISH I SPOKE FRENCH. BILLY, PLEASE LET YANIS KNOW THAT WE FEEL PRIDE & JOY FOR HIM. Yanis has gone from an apprentice to a skilled tradesman!!!!
Yanis is turning out to be an excellent craftsman!! That gardens looks wonderful. Those plants look very happy. You guys are doing great. I love your channel
Please make sure when Yanis is working that his necklace is inside his top! I would hate to see such a talented young man get hurt! You are all about safety!!
It was really interesting watching the smaller pieces of beam go in. It was easier for me to comprehend what was being done with them, because I could see all of them at one time. I’m so impressed with how you have done this with so few people.
Hello from Memphis Tennessee. You don't realize how much the wood beams have sagged until they are up against the steel beams. Enjoy watching the progress... Crack on
I know you are planning to do the railing in the library in wood similar to the staircase but I think wrought iron would keep ut visually more light and airy...just my 2¢ ciao from Italy
It is truly wonderful to see how many skills Yanis has acquired and how his confidence has grown. You, and your family, have given him the space and the support to achieve it. Respect to each one of you and Yanis.
Yannis! Your amazing! It’s so great your dad has started a vegetable garden. It’s such a pleasure to follow your channel Billy to see the very best in people. So refreshing.
The garden will be a nice place to walk and chat once you've planned the flowers, fruits, vegetables and reincorporate the stone benches with pathways. Looking forward to it😊🌳🌸🌺🌼🌿
Yanis your build is slight but you are very strong. Please watch out for your back. All of you for that matter but he never seems to turn down a task .
Great work all round. Pat yourselves on your back. I have great admiration for you all. Thank you. May you all please take care and stay safe. Louisa. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩
Oh Billy, it makes me so happy to see your Dad, and Yanis on Team Petherick every day. Yanis is speaking English so well and your Dad is a treasure, and very handsome, as well.😉 His garden looks amazing. I guess he will have to hook up a hose to give his potatoes a bit of water. Lot's of progress with the beams as well. Greetings as always, from the USA.
Billy I hope you realize how much more your channel is beyond a restoration of a chateau and convent. It is heartwarming, educational, loving, respectful, thoughtful, sensitive, sometimes very emotional and very enjoyable. Showing how a willing young man can learn a bunch of trades. Showing how a young person can be kind and polite and willing to work hard. I tear up many times watching your videos because of your sensitivity and love for those around you. ❤
Same. This channel sparks the imaginations of a myriad of different people all around the globe. I read many of the comments and an episode or so ago in either direction, an old American woman, I believe she said she was 80 and not too mobile any longer, but she dreamed that she was part of the Convent restoration program as a sort of welcoming chatelaine, very spry (and very proper) in a genteel sort of way. I didn't think any more about it until last night when I too had a dream. It wasn't about the Convent per se, but all those danged flies they seem to have in that neck of the wood. There were blowflies on little motor bikes with helmets on and the expressions on their faces as they leaned into the handlebars could have been drawn by a cartoonist depicting crazy kamikaze pilots. Hoards of motorbike riding blowflies were zooming in stream everywhere, hollering out haha in fly, when, suddenly, all the daisies in fields, hedgerows, the verges along side the roads lifted their heads, honed in on frequency-fly and let go with a stream of pyrethrum. The backstory was playing out somewhere off dream with the voice of that zealous evangelist Gerald Flurry explaining that "We're all here living in a chemical existence." and my waking thought was, "Yeah?" Well, you-all just copped a snootful of fly spray. So, yes, for so many people, this channel is far beyond a restoration of a chateau and convent, for some very old ladies it invokes portentous dreams as well. 😂pyrethrum is a chemical pheromone....
Well done team, you should all feel very proud of your achievements so far. Billy, please tell Yanis to tuck his gold chain into his top - as an ex A&E staff, I am have seen some horrific injuries caused by neck chains.
Yanis landed in the right place,he’s a hard worker like all of you and he’s been lucky to learn from each of you. Happy belated Birthday wishes Mick, the potato plants look like they are doing well. It’s funny you’ve had no rain when Chateaux vloggers have had so much . Crack On!🙋🏼♀️
Yanis is a legend. He is such a hardworking guy and so nice too. I feel like he has really blossomed since he became part of the convent crew. He seems very happy and is learning so much.

Billy,Mic, Yanis. You guys are fantastic. The cutting of the steel beams and placing them in is amazing work together. Little by little you move forward. Until tomorrow. Please, take care and stay safe. Love ya 🍺🍺🍺❤️🌹😇🌞🇺🇸🕊👍🙏🌈
Great job and team work. It is going together and will soon be ready for the joists and noggins too. You all are doing just wonderful. Have a great day
It is truly astonishing and heartwarming to see how much love, kindness, support and respect that is shown to everyone who comes into the Petherick's circle. Yannis is becoming such a wonderful all round handyman with skills I think he didn't even know he had. Big kudos to Billy for taking Yannis under your guiding wing and to Yannis who is just so eager to learn and is doing brilliantly.

Yanis is incredible both work wise and in his confidence in front of the camera . However none of this would have been possible without the patience and skills you have all passed on to him .what luck you had finding each other
Yanis is such a hard working craftsman! And your Dad is no slouch either. At 80 I'll be in a recliner with a cold drink. Time seems to have failed to slow him down one bit.
