For me the most fun and best sounding „modern“ monosynth. Sounds perfect among my vintage stuff.
I love the sound of this, got to buy one
Excellent sounds. Amazing looking synth.
What a great looking machine. Analogue Solutions put out some amazing devices. This looks like something Hainbach would have in his studio. Like some obscure synth relic from yesteryear. But this only came out a few years back didn’t it? Serious GAS enduring kit.

They're a very unique and robust synth. This is by far one of the best demos I've seen with it.
Really cool sounds . Giving some vibes of BoC 'a few old tunes' for sure .
Sounds really lovely. I like the orange colour too. But... does it come in mauve?
If I just wouldn't be so biased against 3.5mm jacks I would without a doubt be a proud owner of a Fusebox. Now I just need to doublecheck my bank balance.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE MINE!
Love mine too. ,so I got two.
I got three.
@@LukezyM Nice.
Woot! You're showing off a piece of gear I have. Analogue Solutions stuff is awesome. (I also love their Impulse Command.) Both are real beasts.... I really love that filter sweep you have at the end. Was that the bandpass?
It's between notch and high pass
More explanation needed on the 'patternator' I head no loop longer than 16 beats and that through transposing, everything else was 4 or 8 beat loops. Seems pretty limited but hard to tell from the brief video?
Apologies for not explaining clearly, but the patternator only has 4 cv steps and 8 gate steps, but by switching off gate steps, skipping cv steps and running it in conjunction with the arpeggiator, it can produce complexity beyond what 4 notes and 8 gates might suggest. If you can, do watch the Patreon video, there's more time, and hopefully it gives more of a feeling of what the patternator is like to use.
Sweet sounds! How is the build quality?
superb like a tank.
the switches fee a little less than sturdy, but mine are still operating as they should after two years. Pots feel really good. Paint is holding up well.
Absolutely rock solid,
I have 2 Analogue Solutions synths, this and the Impulse Command and they're both built to last for sure
@@Ratskank yeah
Sounds so punchy and full in the low mids🦑
The man cannot make a bad synth.
They sound so smulchingly confagulistic!
One of my favourite sounding synths..so pleasantly full. Maybe one day..if i sell my Grandmother. Ah..and first i'm diving into Eurorack...priorities 😅😉
i got a black Grandma coming in a few days. i decided on it over the impulse command. But Im still getting an Impulse Command. As soon as i can
Never ever sell your grandmother! It cannot be replaced by any other synth in terms of it's characteristic sound.
@@b.h.gargantua301 Ha, i actually DID sell it! It's so characteristic that after two years I was thinking of doing different things with that amount of money. But made at least 1 mini album completely with it :)
@@b.h.gargantua301 i second that. i love mine more n more each time i play it.
Sounds great! So much text going by though...
Is there a better sounding modern mono? Probably not
I'm sure would be a nice companion for the drum machine!
This synth can actually be a techno monster with the Patternator and Interval Generator. Your drum machine can clock to it and you have instant techno.
Ufo sound
Tuning this beast is an absolute pain in the a*. There are so many parts that affect the tuning, and nothing is quantized. The second big drawback is the fact that there is no possibility to reset the patternator. Cool thing to play with, but hard to handle if you want to work target-oriented (is this a word?). Third point: The only way to get a square wave is via the sub oscillator. Very strange design decision. So, while I loved the overall sound, in practice it made me mad. Sold it and never looked back.
Isnt squarewave right there at the VCO section, PW in the middle and flick a switch?
@@PORRFNK yeah, but it is really a pulse, not a square...
@@joerg721 Not exactly sure what you mean, can you elaborate? My understanding of square is periodic with a 50% duty cycle, and pulse is variable in width, and typically is not periodic. I can only imagine it being periodic as it's an oscillator tuned to a frequency, do you mean that it's not 50% duty cycle? - That is what is often referred to as PW or pulse width and is a feature of many oscillators, when you modulate it, it is what is called PWM. PW is often adjustable to be within a certain limit of duty cycle, for example 20-80, anything too low or too high will result in a weak/thin sound as there is not much signal left in one of the ends. Did you try adjusting the PW knob? I imagine it should be centered for a clean square
@@PORRFNK No way to achieve a clean symmetrical square wave, except via the sub oscillator. I tried to link to Marc Doty's (Automatic Gainsay) video "Fusebox, Oscillator 1", but the message apparently was deleted. Look for the video, the relevant part starts at 3:50.
@@joerg721 Aha ok, I see, I have an old Semblance, and never checked but I saw a comparison between an Intellijel Dixie and a ASOL VCO, and they were almost identical, so it must be something with the fusebox, maybe the symmetry can be adjusted or is not calibrated corrected, either with a trimpot or with the components? Never calibrated my Semblance, it's always been in tune ever since i got it, quite impressive
blipblip
would of been nice without the space echo
