My Dad, Bill Millar, was Gripman on Cable Car No.4 on the Stuart St. line for 21 years. So I grew up with Cable Cars... and the noise and smell of the Power House engine room....where I put Dad's tea on the engine to keep it hot for him/.Murray Millar, (85) Woodgate Beach Queensland
My grandfather Alexander Mackenzie was also a gripman on the Stuart St line, i also use to take tea flask to the power house in the 1940s ( Alexander Owens 80) Halfway Bush Dunedin.
