a weird and rare little synth, which i found in a friends flat years ago, that he sold me for nearly nothing.:) definetely on the experimental and obscure side, it can make some really unique sounds from fat basses to squelchy wah sounds, to distorted fuzzy ones. u can also use the filter to run through external audio. mine has some problems with the portamento since a year or so.. if someone has an idea what to check , let me know.
I had one of these as did Mark Francombe who made 2 LPs with Cranes in 1990's, he influenced me actually. The "white" pre-sets are so cheesy it's untrue but the "yellow" synth, especially the guitar and distortion, are great and not monophonic.Check out "Nag,Nag,Nag" by Cabaret Voltaire for what distortion/VCF is capable of ...I had the 2 footpedals which are rarer than hen's teeth and a MS10 synth and SQ 10 sequencer, all of which synced together for a totally unique sound. Sold and regretted...
In the 90s i had access to this machine and i used it to do weird things. I need to get one of those, so if you have one and read this, leave me a message, please.
I still have one of these in working order. There's a fair bit of latency, but if your technique's 1/2 decent it keeps away the glitching.
Dude, I have one of those! My dad bought it at a NAMM show in 1980.
At 3:34, this sounds exactly like my old MiniKorg 700 :-) Nice post, thanks !
An unexpected historical video on this historically famous model here! Thanks!

Genius machine. Totally freaky and sick. Really. Not so easy and straight line as this presentation. Totally sick stuff. For real.
