If you want the advantages of a Laser sight without the extra bulk of a clip on laser, take a closer look at LaserMax, the world's only totally internal laser sight. LaserMax increases accuracy and can improve aiming speeds. Its patented design allows you to drop it into place, Replacing the original recoil spring guide rod. LaserMax installs easily by simply field stripping your handgun and replacing the factory guide rod assembly with the LaserMax. Everything you need is included! The laser beam itself actually pulsates which increases its visibility. This is the state-of-the-art in handgun laser sighting systems. No modifications are necessary to your handgun, it installs in minutes and it fits in all standard holsters.
This is the top choice of major law enforcement agencies. The LaserMax Sight is activated by pressing a manual switch located on the replacement take down latch. Simply replace the factory slide lock lever (take down lever) with the supplied lever and it works as an on/off switch by simply pressing it in with your trigger finger. It will stay on until you press it back to the off position once you have finished shooting.
Available for Glock, Beretta, Smith & Wesson, Sig Arms, Taurus and 1911 handguns.
Please note: LaserMax spring weights are identical to factory standards.
*Current production Guide Rod Lasers are NOT compatible with the new Gen4 GLOCK*

The instrustions that came with my LaserMax weren’t written or illustrated very well. Watched this video and I had mine working without a hitch in no time. I used a watch screwdriver because the tool provided needed a handle on it to be useful. The design of this integral laser pointer is so simple and keeps the Glock clean without any bulky trigger guard or rail devices; which also need a toggle switch. Repurposed breakdown release lever as a laser toggle switch was brilliant. Thanks for the demo.

I still have my Glock 17 with a Laserrmax sight. I worked armed security at a Farmers & Merchants bank in Long Beach California. Just having this sight in my weapon gave me more confidence and piece of mind. Thankfully, I never had to draw my weapon. I tested this sight in the nearby woods and it was deadly accurate. It cost $250.00 and the batteries (4) lasted about 100 hours. Very reliable product. It scares the crap out of my dog and excites the cats.

The newer version allows you to switch between a pulsating or steady on beam. Also the supplied takedown lever is a tad wider, and will slightly drag on some holsters, until it wears in.

Sorry, my review and experience with the LaserMax is quite different. I bought one earlier this year for my Beretta FS94. It installed with ease, as my UA-cam video shows, but once it was used in live fire, it shut off after each shot. I contacted the company and they sent replacement parts. It worked great....for about 30 to 50 rounds and started acting up. Now it stays on only if I push the left side button, instead of my trigger finger. That sucks and it isn't advertised like that. I've since had to replace the batteries too, as the button was activated in my concealed carry holster and I didn't realize it for at least an entire day. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice....we have a problem! I have a new advertisement in mind for LaserMax..."The most expensive guide rod you can ever buy", because that's all it became in my weapon...twice!

Looks like a good product. Unfortunately, it's priced too high for most handgun owners. I'll bet the company would end up making much more money if it lowered the price to under $100, based on the increase in volume. Come on, guys, don't be greedy. This probably costs under $10 to manufacture.

they never fail ?? ive had mine for 2 weeks, took it to the range once. now every time you rack the slide, it turns off and you cant turn it back on without taking the slide off and putting the guide spring back into the deepest recessed part of the barrel. battery is still good cause it turns on when reset, but once you rack the slide. it turns back off. I also noticed that the spring looked crooked. Also, Glock began manufacturing dual spring guide rods for their Gen 4 models as you demonstrated in another video. Do you know if Laser Max plans to replicate this design for lasers for Gen 4 models?

As a Gunsmith with 35+ years of experience I have repaired two Lasermax lasers, The old style with the CHEAP thin flexible plastic cap. The guide rod spring slides up to press the cap off or at least to get things out of line, then the fun begins. Hopefully the new models have fixed this. I really don't get the whole cool laser fanatics or glock freaks, if you have to have a little light to tell you where you are shooting maybe you need lots more practice OR you shouldn't have a gun anyway ! Give me a real gun like the ultimate genius gave us over a century ago.You Know after that long you can't improve on perfection!

I am color blind and sometimes its hard to focus in different lighting situations. The laser helps. In good lighting I don't usually have any problems but we aren't always going to be in that situation when we need to defend ourselves. I think the laser has its place.

    • @marleybongwater3387
      @marleybongwater3387 9 років тому +7

Marley Bongwater Not everybody is cut out to be a marksman but everybody still has the right to defend themselves so your idea that people shouldn't have guns because they use a laser is foolish. Whatever it takes for a person to operate a gun and hit the intended target safely is all that matters.

I just found a generation 2 Glock 21 in brand new condition from 1993 I remember the molding marks from back then on the Beavertail area and at first I thought it was damage but it wasn’t it was the actual molding Mark don’t let that turn you away from a generation 2 If you find one like that it is simply an original which is very nice it also came with this laser installed perfectly and adjustable rear side s if you find one like that is simply an original which is very nice it also came with this laser installed perfectly and adjustable rear sight so I will not be changing them even though they are plastic they are original and I don’t think that would be a good idea I have found that those actually work really good anyway and with this laser I don’t think nighttime will be too much of a task add that to the fact that it doesn’t have a rail that is the best upgrade you can get for the gun along with the rear site it’s going to be strictly a home defense gun or the one that sits in my safe as a safe queen most of the time In my eyes it’s a relic it even has the US suffix which is really cool I am hunting original box and paperwork I really like the Glock 21 my last pick up was the generation three nickel boron

I have both the Lasermax internal and the Crimson Trace Laserguard models for my Glock 27. There are two things about the Lasermax I don't like: First, there's no master on-off switch. When at the range, the recoil causes the laser to turn on after 4 to 5 rounds and having to turn it off each time gets to be pretty annoying. I usually end up replacing the laser with my SS buffer spring for range shooting. Second, the laser was inadvertently activated while holstered in my Crossbreed Supertuck

I'm curious about the quality of the spring assembly. Is it plastic in the middle? I'm wondering if they make a more durable option? I don't understand the purpose of the high cost for something like this... it's really nothing more than a five dollar laser pointer with a couple small pieces of metal... do you think the cost will ever come down? I think I'd be willing to pay 50 or 75 dollars for it and I'd love to have it... it's just way to expensive to justify.

I want one of these. I not fond of the blinking feature. but on glocks when you field strip and reinstall the recoil spring and reasemble the gun. the recoil spring skews/cocks/moves/ aka comes out of that groove. so I guess if you buy a 340$ internal laser I bet it's going to do they same thing. and compromise the accuracy. and one more thing that recoil spring looks kinda cheap/half ass compared to my stock one. not sure

It has never caused the 26 not to work. But I like to keep Glock internals as stock as possible. Also I have had the occasional failures for it come on or turn off. I don’t want to be worrying about it in a fight. Customer service has been great. Tip: be careful with the spring, if you bend it you have just broken your gun.
