Those are some great looking locomotives. That 6 unit lash up is just bonkers!!! Thanks for sharing.

    Great review!
FWIW, the last two horns are Nathan P3 horns which are spot-on for SP. Obviously go with whatever one you like (your layout!), but just a note for what’s prototypical.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I know nothing about horns and what is right so I appreciate it.

I love these units! Just got a few of my own at the end of last week in the "Kodachrome" paint scheme. The SuperBass is really something else, it sounds great! I am super happy that Lionel included the Nathan P3 on these units as well (the 4th horn selection) as the SP liked to use those horns on a lot of their units. Maybe I can bring my SP diesels to your layout (I have 4 so far) and make the ultimate lash-up lol. Wouldn't that be awesome! However, none of our locomotives look like the SP locomotives through the Tehachapi Pass as they're nowhere dirty enough, hah. Anyways, great video as always Colby. Can't wait for the next one!

So true. I would need to dunk the engines in some black wash (kidding). It would be cool to have 10 engines altogether. But I would need a much larger layout and 099 curves would help. Let me know if you have any problems with your pickup rollers getting caught in the switches. That has been happening in my Atlas switches.

@@PriestBrosLines funnily enough it has been happening because I have Atlas track as well. It was just a matter of tightening the screw for the pickup and making it as straight as possible. I was just relieved to find out it was a simple fix. I’ve had really good luck with all my Legacy locomotives (19 in total now) as that’s all I run

Ya there nice and all but I wish they did one in the gothic font, Im not big on the Rio Grande "speed lettering SP units. I do own 1, a GP-38-2, but all my SP is org. bloody nose style. Very nice units though. Oh, the top head light is a Mars light, its prototypical.

Right, a Mars light just like on my PAs. I always liked the speed lettering. nice big lettering. Looks good with both types mixed.
