Wow, I am just blown away! How wonderful it would be to take lessons from someone like this.
Begin at 12:44, m.334 - m.343... Man I almost cried. After all the mysterious harmonies and melodies, this lovely section arrives. Lush and romantic string lines, and eventually ends with a tasteful piano line. Love it!
Awesome!!!
I came from the Stratisound video on John Williams' Battle of Hoth (which was a great video btw) after hearing an excerpt from this piece. I haven't listened all the way through as I'm a little busy right now (I will though) but I must say this is really great music! I'm beyond impressed, well done!
Just one question, why did you write the time signatures in a film score style? From what I know that's not desirable in a concert score and is only acceptable in a film scoring environment (don't fully know why though)
Good question, I've found that I like them, the conductor likes them, the people in the booth like them, so pretty much everyone but the copyist(s) like them
@@michaelbarrymusic669 Oh ok, interesting! Poor copyists ahaha Thanks for the explanation :)
This is really great stuff. Were you influenced by Shostakovich piano concertos or Gershwin piano concerto in F?
thanks! yes my day is not complete till i listen to some Shostakovich
Found my favourite contemporary composer now lol. Holy crap this is good
omg thanks!
