As interesting as the channel topic is, it's niche too. Thus growth of viewers will stay rather low.
Especially considering the habit of quickly showing large amounts of information, then immediately pressing on with further information, requires more than just passive viewing.
Not that pausing a video would be difficult. But it makes a difference.😉

You must have picked up a lot of new viewers all of a sudden - The random complaints about "AI generated content and voice" are disrespectful, but I expect they don't know any better, since so much content on youtube IS AI content farming these days. For those of you who are new, he is a genuine geologist / volcanologist who has been doing this for a long time and gives intelligent, well-researched information. Best geology channel on the tube.

Well, I don't expect the USGS to cover the entire planet. Their mandate is to study geology, and monitor volcanoes within the US and US territories. Not that I'm suggesting they can't look beyond those lands in order to study the entire system.

For those with a linguistics background, I believe you're talking about our friend the schwa, upsidedown "e," which unfortunately isn't on my keyboard. It's a sound American English uses a lot in words such as about, tuna, and many others. It would be nice if we'd add this letter, so we'd create less confusion around our vowels.
