I’m the same when plans are changed I then get snappy and stressed at the small things. So nice to know it’s not just me. But it’s good that the change helped you get a different big thing done instead.
Am loving your vlogmas, was so excited when the first one went up. Both kids are just adorable in these videos 🥰 x
“I can see you, Penny here”. She melts me….. soo blumming cute ☺️
Hello Laura! Good episode today because you just gave me the little push I needed to do chores I don’t really want to do… But as you so well expressed it, it feels so good once it is done! It is my second year of watching your vlogmas and I enjoy it immensely. Thank you, and have a pleasant Sunday!
It's so helpful when you explained how the changes effect you, because I think my husband struggles similarly in certain situations. I hadn't thought of it this way. Thank you for sharing this! ❤️ Love your kiddos 💗
Penny is the SWEETEST! I love her cameos.
Enjoying your vlogmas so much!!!
The way l have come to explain British mealtimes to English learners is that dinner is a more substantial, heavier or sometimes more formal meal - and can be at lunchtime or in the evening.
In the north of England particularly there seems to be a habit of having the main meal of the day, dinner, in the middle of the day. School dinners and so on.
In which case the evening meal is a lighter 'tea' which probably developed out of afternoon tea.
If we ever had 'quick tea' after school and before evening activities, we would probably have supper after the activity.
If everyone in the family was at home for the evening we would sit down together for a hot, cooked, dinner.
'Chippy Tea' is a fun one, because it is definitely a substantial meal . . . but less effort for the parents to produce, l guess, so feels less formal?
I am the same way with changed plans! I have a very as some would say "controlling" personality, and I like to know all details up front to prepare myself for whatever it is. So when it changes on the fly I have a hard time accepting it (unless it was my decision hehe). Over the years I have learned to let it go and try my best to just go with the flow, but it is tricky sometimes! Despite your plans being disturbed, your video was still lovely as always! Your kiddos are so precious ❤️
It won't be long before Penny has her own channel! 😘🥰
You are so good at editing! I am not an expert at all I just love the composition. I feel so entertained while watching. Thank you for your aesthetic images. Have a peaceful festive period. Greetings from Berlin
Thank you, I love doing it and put a lot of effort in so I appreciate your words very much!!
I just love watching and hearing your children laugh and play. I miss my little munchkins. (23 and 24yrs old ) Congratulations on your new baby. lol Kim
How funny that Jane Eyre is rubbing off on you! I watch a lot of British shows and vlogs and find myself talking about getting things sorted and having a lie down. 😂 I think British expressions are so charming.
I love that those are the phrases that make you feel English 🤣 I’m all about a lie down 🙈
@@_laurapenrose_ Same here! 🤣 And I would love chippy tea!
Thank you for sharing your family, the little ones made my morning!
You are a wonderful Mum! Your kids clearly feel well loved, they are adorable. Jeff looks like such a kind boy, and Penny is so cute! All that chatter from her must be exhausting, though. Thank you for sharing your December with us, big, BIG hugs to you!
I have a similar issue with changing plans, so I understand how you feel. My daughter is the same as well. Knitting definitely calms my head when it happens. Your children are adorable and you are absolutely delightful.
You have the most ADORABLE children!!! Good job mom 👍❤️
I am so happy that you are doing vlogsmas again, dear Laura! I enjoy it very much! ❤
So cute!! Glad that even if the day was hard it was still successful and ended up being satisfying. Hope mr. p feels better soon! And that your get your Christmas tree Monday!
The minimal mom has some great videos on sorting out toys (and all other kinds of stuff), and I also really like to watch Dana K. White to get some decluttering motivation. I learnt many good strategies from her in order to make these kind of tasks feel less overwhelming.
I really like your vlogmas videos (like all of your videos;) ), thank you for sharing. My 2yo likes to watch them too, he really likes seeing Penny 🤭 have a great day and best Christmas wishes to you and your family 🌟
First time watching any vlogmas, very chilled to sit and knit too, thanks. Amusingly your meal names are the same as the north east of Scotland, but I've also switched to lunch and dinner as I've got older.
Lovely episode, thank you! You are so much fun to watch, I instantly feel so comfy :))
Your kids are so cute! I'm also autistic and have a hard time with change. I'm glad that you have time to adjust and I hope your holiday season is wonderful.
I love clean-up days and we've been dealing with change of plans ever since we all keep catching colds at school. Take good care and get rest! Kimberly
just to be really confusing in my family lunch is at midday but if its a cooked meal its dinner, but if we eat a cooked meal in the evening thats dinner and if its a snacky/ sandwichy ect meal its tea
Hi, Laura! I love sharing your day… thank you❤️🎄
This is my first year in a long time watching Vlogmases and I'm really enjoying your vlogs! Watched this one first thing in the morning before I headed to work and it was definitely a nice way to start the day. Enjoy your day tomorrow! Ps. Has anyone ever told you you have really nice hands? Sorry, I don't mean to be weird, but anytime you post pictures of you with your gloves I'm like, "wow she could be a hand model!"
That’s so funny because I’ve always hated my hands!!! (Such a weird thing to hate) but now I have regular manicures I actually quite like them so thank you 🤣
i totally get you on the plans changing feelings. Also, how cute is Penny talking to us!
what a coincidence im watching this while sorting out my room!
I genuinely thought you went to the fish and chips shop to get a cup of tea. 🤦♀
So cute “I can see you, Penny here”❤️❤️ I could not find the pattern name of your sweater could you please link it for me?
It’s the Dartmoor by Caidree x
Do you have any advice for someone just starting out in podcasting? I really love your podcast and the real lifeness, I love seeing your little one especially too!
I’ll try to remember to answer is in the next episode!! But basically, just give it a go!! X
"i can see you" says Penny "I can see you too" says me and waves 😂😂
I’m from Edinburgh and I know what a chippy tea is 😊. Also, say breakfast, dinner and tea (although my kids say breakfast, lunch and dinner 😂).
I’m also knitting the Penny gloves. One knitting them on 9” circulars with dpns for the thumb. I would love to knit a pair in dk. Do you have your calculations (or maybe you can’t give that info)? Loving your vlogmas’s. There are so many this year but yours gets watched asap before the others. Thanks for taking the time 🎄
I can’t share my numbers without sharing info from the paid for pattern, but I explain a little more in my latest podcast. There are also loads of free dk weight fingerless gloves that you can totally hack into penny gloves! X
@@_laurapenrose_ thanks. Of course. I do love the fingering weight version but as I’m a slow knitter (with not much knitting time) I thought the dk version would be ideal. I’ll check out Ravelry. Thanks 😊
These videos make me feel so Christmassy I love them!
I love your sweater but I'm not finding it on Ravelry. Maybe I'm spelling it wrong? Dartmore? Thanks!
It’s Dartmoor! X
Thank you!
What a cute vlog of doing such a daunting chore, and omg when the Roomba touched your foot under the bed 😂 Have find tomorrow and good luck with getting your tree on Monday 🎄
Oh, what a great Vlogmas you are producing - now I have to wait until Tuesday for the next episode, thanks Laura 🚽🧻😀
Lol yup i confuse people all the time by saying dinner instead of lunch and tea instead of dinner :') we often eat our main at mid afternoon too just to complicate it more :')
Your editing and music choices are so joyful! What a lovely way to turn a day of tough chores into happy memories ❤
❤❤❤
Just know you are doing an amazing job! And surrounded by loving support! And I wanted to add your babies are so sweet and cute!
Hope you and the family have a lovely Sunday and everyone is feeling better!
Your vlogs give me such a wholesome mood 💝 They always feel a lot shorter than they actually are, and I find it impressive how much you film in a day! I neverwas a Vlogmas type, but I really do enjoy yours~
This one was an hours worth of footage originally 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love it, real life happening 😀
