Good to see a new Fulmar video. I don't have mine any more. They sail so well. Cut a slice off a foam backed pan scrubber, stuck over your microphone, it will deal with the wind noise. Have a great trip.
There is plenty more to come. Do read the links to the yachting forum posts as there is more information about everything in the videos. Currently working on part 5 at the moment. Also thinking about a video of errors and bloomers that have been editted out.
Excellent work. Concerto is looking beautiful just like a classic beauty should. Interesting to see the main sheet track on the rear transom & different winches set up from the fulmar we bought in 2007.
Thank you. You might enjoy seeing the process of renovation from when I first saw her to Jan 2020. wiki.westerly-owners.co.uk/images/3/3f/Concerto.pdf In 2021 Concerto was the Westerly Owners Association boat at the Southampton Boat Show. Whilst there I took some video of the boat for those who could not visit due to Covid. ua-cam.com/video/DhV5rj2oAgM/v-deo.html The main sheet track at the aft end of the cockpit was the original position. Owners could specifiy either halfway along the cockpit or acrossthe front of the cockpit. On Concerto the track in the past had been moved to the middle of the cockpit and later returned aft. I moved the winches from the aft end of the coachroof as you could not spin an 8" handle, let alone a 10". For racing the windward winch was used to sheet the genoa, but as I sail singlehanded, mounting them on the cockpit coaming means they are easy to reach whilst on the helm. All the winches are uprated self tailing to make my life easier.
@@FulmarConcerto cool. Thanks looking forward to seeing that. The previous owner moved the track across centre of the cockpit for single handed sailing keeping everything in easy reach. He did an extensive refit after bringing her back from Greece. Our winches are on the coach roof either side of the companionway
If you join the ybw forums and are registered, then look up Concerto, you can access my About Me page where you can find all the links to items I have online. There is so much information you will find of interest.
Boat sails very nicely doesn’t she? The drone looks very promising, I like the metal horse in the water at Wells! Here’s wishing you continued fine sailing north Roger and possibly some fine at-sea drone flying too
Nice to have a non music sailing video, some are very intrusive, like these westerly fulmars, i am from antipodes we don’t have this brand down here, but would have one if they did. Best
Thanks for posting, good luck on your trip!
