Honestly, I would love to do this. I've already had a fascination with tornadoes and even if I didn't get to see a tornado, it would be an absolute dream for me!
I've always wanted to go one of the tours but I self taught and went through SKYWARN spotter trainning with the NWS and am now chasing by myself on my days off or when I take vacation time for a week or so
Max, I’m going to be going on an Extreme Tornado Tour next year. After all your chasing, do you have a reasonably priced camera that you would recommend?
I hope to do one of these tours someday as I've loved storms my entire life! If I'm not mistaken there was an active tour group in Joplin on that tragic day. Beautiful clouds 9:37
This is absolutely beautiful and wild but just as dangerous as well. You do have to sign a waiver, because you never know the predictability of a storm that produces tornadoes. I wanted to do one of these tours but gambling my life wasn’t exactly a fun idea. Surely to miss out on a glorious experience but I rather just watch these videos myself lol.
Is there anything for the few willing enough to drive for hours and wouldn’t mind its not a ‘’vacation’’ so to speak? I’m fascinated by Tornadoes and supercell and i’m doing everything i can to learn about them and their behaviour.I’m also learning to read a radar.I want to storm chase eventually (I’m serious about this but it would be seasonal)but doesn’t want to go in there inexperienced. Thing is i live in Canada near Montreal and I’m trying to figure out what’s best. To be clear , i don’t take this lightly. If you have anything for an advice , i would greatly appreciate it. Thx in advance.
That's really cool and so super awesome. I 💯% understand why u dont get closer, but am i the only one who would do this only if i could get closer to the action lol 🤔?
After seeing that one tour van hit and flipped Id rather not. I like having more control over my movements and would feel helpless at the mercy of another driver.
Honestly, would be better to just pay a storm chaser privatly and get in a better spot, the real deal. I watched a video of tourists doing this and it was just arguing, one was scared of the storm and wanted to turn back and so on.
I would much rather do regular storm chasing. Fuck that lol I’m not paying for a vacation I want to see a tornado bud close by.. does anyone have any info on any organization that offers that?
I actually just went to mt Rushmore and drove through the bad lands earlier today. Also my plan is to start chasing next year. How would you suggest I get started?
Doing a tour or going with someone who has been chasing for a while is the best way to get hands on experience. My friends Skip Talbot and Tornado Titans also have great UA-cam videos on how to interpret models, identify storm structure, ect. Best of luck getting started!
Can you GUARANTEE you will NEVER be IN THE WAY of researchers, victims, & rescue efforts though?!?!?! That's one guarantee you SHOULD be making. Continuing to encourage disaster tourism is still disgusting, but that's the LEAST you should be doing.
Honestly, I would love to do this.
I've already had a fascination with tornadoes and even if I didn't get to see a tornado, it would be an absolute dream for me!
I hope you're able to make it happen, you've got the right attitude to have a blast on one of these!
But I really want to see a tornado
Glad I'm not the only one with a bunch of Wall Drug b-roll. Excellent video as always Max!
It's essential for the catalog

I'm a professional photographer, this is on my bucket list once I'm out of the military. I would love to try my hand at extreme weather photography
I never knew these existed until this year and it’s absolutely a bucket list vacation for me now! One day!
Right on, I'm excited for you!
While I'll probably never get to join a tour, I thoroughly enjoy your footage/videos!! Great job!
Thank you, hopefully you can find a way to get out there someday!
This would be so cool I’m a weather nerd I love storms and tornadoes

I hope you are able to do one! I believe Silver Lining Tours was the group in Joplin on that day.
My son and I plan to do this when he turns 21🥰
Awesome! On Tour 7 we had multiple parent/kid guests, a truly special thing to share.

That trailer was fucking sick 😍
The whole vid made me so much more excited to go hahaha
Hahah it was definitely worth the $70 to get someone to do the dramatic narration.
Love it man!!
Thank you!
i mean there was a tornado in NJ where i live at but i cant see it in a wall of rain but that was at april 1 2023
Great video bud!
Thanks dude, you should come out chasing someday!

epic done. =)
Thank you!
good video friend
Thank you!
Do they have a smoking van?
Lmao. Nerd hustle is hard! No hate. This is impressive 👏
Hahah proud weather nerd here!

*Wall Drug*
I wonder where it's located, they should put up a sign...

$4000 for this?😅
What’s your problem with this? I like the fact it’s transparent about what they offer and what is realistic
4000 to be lodged, it's basically a vacation for 4k that you get to chase tornados on
😊👍
Let's fuckin goooo
I came here from unspeakable

Thanks for this. Maybe I’ll see you out there sometime.
