Easily your best basing video, and I've been watching you for more than half a decade
Thanks for making us feel old haha
We've secretly replaced The Imperial Palace's marble floors with EonsOfBattle marble ones. Let's see if they can tell the difference!
ua-cam.com/video/Ni_rx1u3giE/v-deo.html
As a ultramarine player I could tell the difference because of how much of a little bitch I am, the marbling of my father’ fathers palace floor was shit and in need of repair
So I thank you, for your kind service to the imperium
well, theyre not gold
These is the most convincing marble bases I've ever seen! O.O
How did you know I was looking for this video for my Custodes Army??
I've done something similar and have found that small specs or veins of gold paint look great as well. I appreciate the clarity and speed of this video. I'll have to check out your other stuff as well 😁
That’s a great idea! Yeah check them out! We do all sorts of tutorials and videos!
Just spot on, perfect balance between ease of replication and effect. Batching actually makes it easier. You knocked it out the park on this one.
I like your sticky pallet method. Much more stable than turning a piece of tape on itself
Exactly what I was looking for, going to be using this for a new a Slaanesh project, thank you
Thanks a lot, I was looking to give my Necrons some lapis-lazuli shoulder armor, and this seems the perfect methode.
Definitely keeping this paint method in the back of my head for future projects. Great work!
ua-cam.com/video/Ni_rx1u3giE/v-deo.html
These look great, thanks!
I was recently introduced to your channel by this specific video while working in custodes bases and holy shit! Thank you! The technique was so easy to do and I love the effect!
Pretty ingenious method. Well done
I've legit been looking for something like this for AGES...
These look sweet
Those bases are super nice :)
Have you tried the cleaning tissue trick for painting marble through the airbrush?
Works great, most realistic marble tiles I ever seen!
Very nice technique! I will use it to make base for mu ancien, forgotten wariorr.
Definitely going to keep this in mind if I get around to the Sororitas army I want to do.
Just what I needed :D
Love this process! Quick question, could do the whole painting process on the plastic card, then cut them out for the bases?
Wish i knew this before i based my entire Custodes army in snow... Maybe the next force of them will get this treatment, thanks for the awesome base!
U got my sub for helping so much u just read my mind and know what I will wanna do when I figure it out later
Very beautiful and realistic method!!! You're great!!! By from Italy! 🇮🇹 🇮🇹🇮🇹
Thanks so much!!!
I have to test this out with some other marble techniques I've seen. The finish is absolutely gorgeous, and I imagine the waste wouldn't be too big if you taped the bases down close to each other. I guess you can skip the plastic card by painting the crevices or cutting into your base directly with an exacto knife.
I have a Custodes army with marble bases and I strongly advise against skipping the plasticard. The texture of the bases is really unsightly.
looks great
Nice video and good work. 💪
Great stuff friend 👏 👍
that is pretty slick
You're slick!
Yes my fab stodes now have bases
Very nice!
This helps so much with an ultramarine I have in mind
Thanks...something to think about for my Celestine build.
So cool! I can make space marines on bathroom floor
That looks far better than you'd expect for the effort involved! And no airbrush!
I did like the bold effect before you toned them down :D
I'd also go full-on gloss because shiny! :P
How would you do a Blackstone version of these? I'm all for my robo dudes :P
for Blackstone, I would do triangles instead of squares and probably black blue, and green instead of white, light gray, and gray.
Wow, that's so simple yet it works insanely well!
One question though: where would you buy plasticard?
We have a link in the description where you can buy it!
@@EonsOfBattle *cries in canadian* $58 for that same thing on amazon.ca lol
But thanks I'll look for similar alternatives
@@archfrank often at hardware and home stores, cheap house signs like FOR SALE and BEWARE OF DOG are made of similar thin plastic, that could be an option! good luck.
Your local hobby store if it caters for the scale model hobbies should stock various plasticard and polystyrene strip/shape. You'll probably find a number of other useful items in this section, such as mesh and brass sheet and strip.
@@EonsOfBattle Hello Jay, hope you see this, but could I use old credit/subscription cards as a replacement??
Juan Hidalgo just put out a video on NMM black, and you guys did a thing on Marble...
Might be time to paint my Horus. Its like the universe is telling me to do it.
Oh no!
Wish u had done this video before I started and almost completed my gondor army 😕
can I use cardstoxk for the tiles qswell, or would that ruin the texture?
I appreciate that this was done sans AB
PT Sans Caption Bold if you will!
Definitely using this recipe for my She-Ra inspired Stormcast army
Well i just found my Freeguild army bases. Super awesome! How would black marble work? Just the opposite?
Just check out how it looks in real live and Match the colors?
I would do black the same way minus the speckling steps, to get nice looking black a majority of the surface has to be black, otherwise, it looks gray.
Will have to give this a try for my sisters of battle bases. Have you tried the baby wipe method? It's given me mixed results so far.
ua-cam.com/video/Ni_rx1u3giE/v-deo.html
Regal marble
When you layer the white are you trying to follow the existing layers or are you just going wherever every single time?
For the white I went random every time but My brush strokes went in the same direction to create a grain in the marble.
What colours would you use for dark/black marble?
for dark black marble I would skip the spattering and go right for the grain, using the same blue-gray and light gray colors.
Prefer the babywipe method but the methods can be combined to achieved mixed marble plates.
Can I do it with just a regular paint brush? I live in an apartment. Can't use an airgun.
Noice
You're boss by painting those marble lines freehand!
I'm not nearly that neat, I just go with the baby wipe method.
I know what I'm basing my tyranids with
I like it. Truly beautiful. Why didn't you paint them first and cut them after that? Seems easier to me.
cutting them after would tear up the paint job. and the plastic might be a different shade of white than the paint job.
discord gang
I know how I'm going to base my Soul Drinkers now
Custodes? My gals from the adepta sororitas will be much better! This is amazing! thank you!
yah!! I would love to see some sisters on these bases, please share those when you get them done!
Do you think someone could use colored pencils?
Mah ork boyz iz gonna look propah klassy on doze shinny basez. Monocle an' top hat klassy.
👌😛💚
0/10 didn't paint the edge of the base black , kidding been watching you for years and based my armies on some of your great tips please keep making more ! 💜
".02 inch" when will we give up on imperial!!
When they pry it from our COLD DEAD HANDS!!! FREEEEEDUMB!!!!
I don't see any metric countries' flags on the moon.

Excellent video, but man, I dont know what it is - I've been near replicating every step to a point in product and instruction, but my execution is just piss poor. I can't seem to get a single thing of this done right.
