Coming from an Organist/ Choir Director at my church, the Major has so much feeling for the piece of music in which is being played. His body language is not only showing pride in America but also he is conducting the band as well as the audience. I personally would like to thank him for all that he has done. What a wonderful arrangement!!!!!! This is the Home of the BRAVE!
THANK YOU!!!! To the USMC Drum and BUGLE Corps for keeping the BUGLE in Drum & BUGLE Corps and not following DCI's lead of the new age of Drum and Band Instrument Corps. The unique sound of a hornline using G Bugles is what drew me, and so many others to DCI in the first place. BRING THAT SOUND BACK!
So who made the rule about "drum & bugle corps classification'? . . . . on a more somber note, I think this would be a good time to stand up and praise all young men and women who have given up their summers for the last ? ? how many years ? to march with a corps. Sadly not the case this summer, God bless our musicians ! ! !

One of the best national anthems I've ever heard from a marching ensemble. Amazing.
ApolyonTheSoulRender i was jus thinking the exact same thing
No one is better than the US marine drum corp. Not even Blue Devils
+Kalim Manigault (iGrungeisntdead10) Agreed. They cream everyone else
+Kalim Manigault (iGrungeisntdead10) Marines are made to succeed at whatever they do. And they live up too it.
Kalim Manigault Yes. Why indeed?
What about the US airforce band?
SFS Falcon NOT EVEN CLOSE MAN
ThatWasClassy
why arent they the ones who perform the national anthem for the super bowl?????
some things in life we just have to accept.
They do the Giant flag
We're too obsessed with hiring singers that butcher it.
Because the Super Bowl can’t handle the greatness and honor of the Maine Corps.
Because their red uniforms represent freedom, not Satan
NOTHING sounds like a line of G Bugles played by amazing musicians! It's like a choir of angels singing..... I mean... those overtones!!!!!!!
no doubt ... the G bugles in all voices ring like no other

The passion of their major twards the end is just awesome
Bugles ; Brighter, Edgy, Projection, Excitement ; heritage ,tradition, purity, honesty. Nuff said
3:56 That horns down though
It's the simple things that make drum corps great.
Still amazing till this day, my dad would love this. As he was a marine himself he still loves the core! Semper fi!
I still get chills down my spine when I hear the Star Spangle Banner!
God bless Marines!!! The passion Major Dix has awesome. The home of the Brave indeed, Sir.
I have watched this so many times, and it never gets old. As a retired US MARINE, it motivates me to this day. SEMPER FI MARINES !

DCI is no longer allowed to be classified as drum and bugle corps. The use of trombones, etc has ended that tradition. Broadway show maybe?
How bout all them baris. Damn.
Wonderful sound. Love the shine on the cymbals
love marching bands. My older brother trombone player and served in the Army band started in high school.
yeah this is a drum corps not exactly a marching band
drum corps is like marching band but squared
drum corps = marching band^2

very choral like...so balanced, smooth, and graceful
Awesome concert Boston crusaders and god bless you all.
This arrangement and Central Washington University's arrangement are probably the best arrangements I ever herd f the star spangled banner
Love this arrangement!
This is the first time in history a cloud clapped along and didnt immediately rush the beat.
GOD BLESS AMERICA! 🇺🇸
That commanding officer though
Making us proud!
feel bad who served and died
Does anyone have that cadence? Jeez i love it but I can't find it transcribed anywhere. I assume its custom to them.
Jacob Halfman EMC Productions on UA-cam. Eric Carr is a tenor player and has made a video on this, which the cadence is Troop Cadence B.
Sinners marching in the summer? Only the innocent play in the summer. We wouldn’t want a summer storm..
Very nice
So good to see some men still remove their hats.
Pretty cool arrangement
Because it’s so motivating, the Super Bowl will be in second place. They are definitely afraid of that happening
2:00 that guy in back tho...
Wow - G bugles!!
AWESOME!!!!!!
Beutiful
Well done marines!

He's also directing the audience, encouraging them to sing.

An drum and bugle corps consists out of drummers and fifers which carry an bugle on their belt.
