- For anyone planning to one day move to Italy and live here, this is the conversation you will need. If you're learning Italian - whether beginner or advanced - these are the colloquial phrases that will help you develop relationships and express yourself with strangers you meet. You can find many more videos on my channel about how I learned Italian and moved to Italy. Making these episodes alone is very time consuming and expensive and if you would like to support my work, you can find my Patreon page here:

I get chills from head to toe whenever I see you post. Giving us a wonderful window into a world that seems as if it's out of a fairy tale book. You literally made your dreams come true. I know they have not been without struggle. And I'm so grateful, your videos are such a comfort to this crazy world going through right now. I hope everyone realizes. We need each other more now than we ever have in our own lifetime. Please do not allow them to separate us and divide us on every fractal level. We all pee yellow and we all bleed red. We are the cog Wheels to everything. We make the world go around. It's time to realize that people. And like I said we do need each other more now than we ever have in our own lifetime. Good luck and Godspeed on all of your endeavors.
And I think you so much for your wonderful videos. A Little piece of heaven. No matter what you have to say. What you have to do. I'm such a fan. Much love my darling and too you're handsome prince.
Thank you. ✨✨✨
We moved here a month ago and it’s funny how we experienced some of the conversations you described. Especially, the Italians wondering how Rovigo could possibly be better than Florida!!
This couldn’t come at a better time since I’m starting my Erasmus in Siena tomorrow!! 🇮🇹
Thank you! That was wonderful. I've always wanted to learn Italian. I hope you and Guido are doing well and your parents trip was safe and comfortable. Thoughts and blessings to all.❤ can't wait for next Friday! Thank you again for all you do!
Wow, what a great lesson! I will watch it again and take notes, and then I will go to my neighborhood Italian coffee shop and listen to the conversations around me for practice. What fun !!! Thanks to two wonderful tutors!🥰
Thank you so much, Barbara.
I am absolutely in love with your timeless and classy wardrobe. So Beautiful ♥️
Lovely episode! One of the funny things about learning Italian, is that I've never met an Italian who is surprised that I am learning Italian. It is the language of the gods after all :')
This will be so handy for all those interested in Italy and the Italian language, which I personally believe to be the most beautiful language there is! We Romanians are in a way born knowing Italian, maybe because Romanian it's also a Latin language and has many similarities with Italian. In Romania almost everyone understands Italian, when I moved to Italy when I was 18 I understood almost everything straight away! Great video, loved the cinematic parts a lot! Yesterday evening I watched at least 10 of your videos :) xx
Romanian language is so close to Italian! You guys are our brothers and sisters. ❤️
Very useful and different from much of the other Italian info I’ve been watching. Your style is relaxing and your personal experience is invaluable. I hope you make more lessons like this. Thank you.
Thank you so much! This is super helpful for anyone learning Italian. This was fantastic!
I absolutely love Italy! We were there recently and found that most Italians
Speak English!! Positano is one of my favorite !! Hope to return and perhaps visit Tuscany!!! Your so kind to share your beautiful family and amazing life !! Hope your parents return to be with you soon!! Shalom from
Colorado!!!
Just moved to Rome. Thanks for your channel, it really helps to settle in. All the best and keep the videos coming!

This has helped me so much! I’ll watch your other lessons too! Grazie Mille 😅
Always love your language videos, you explain it so well!!

this is brilliant Kylie! i lived in italy for 4 months during summer and im finding every question your putting in this video exactly how my conversations in italian would go! i always used to reply un'po and wondered why they'd go back to english! now i know- ci provo! :) your the best!
i hope to move there in the coming months for good :)
I would to live in Italy. I enjoy your Italian lessons. I practice my listening skills with your videos. Thank you for always bring so much culture, information and beautiful videos productions. :)
Loved it! Thanks this is really helpful!
Awww it makes me miss Italy all over again ..... I knew 99 % of the video, and learnt something new 🥰 I love the breakdown, still dreaming of living in Italy and looking at ways of getting work and a visa ... The disheartening feeling of it never happening but I'm passionate so will keep going. Grazie ancora tesoro e ci sentiamo presto. XxXx 😘😘😘
Thank you! We moved to Naples in October and they speak so fast here! I’ve found myself very overwhelmed and they ask me all these questions!
Great photography. You capture the beauty all around you. Even though I'm not planning a trip to Italy or to learn Italian, it's interesting to learn a little about the language. When first listening to a new language all the words seem to run together and people seem to be speaking so fast so seeing the printed words is very helpful. I've studied languages too and understand how much effort you have put in to achieve the fluency you have. You could never have reached the level of comfort and interaction with Italians you have if you hadn't made that effort so I'm sure you'll be an inspiration for any foreigner living in italy. I admire you.
Thank you for sharing. You're good at explaining language.
Dear Kylie, You are an excellent language teacher! Not to mention your other vlogs and DIY videos are superb, but this should be something you can also do. You explain very well.
Grazie mille!
Thank you! That was wonderful. I love it!!
Thank you Kylie, I find these types of videos SO helpful. I might be moving to Italy in a few months and am desperately trying to absorb as much of the language as possible beforehand 🤓
Wonderful! As I'm now living here in Tuscany and really learning to speak Italian having had no experience at all, this helps! Grazie mille ...
Ciao Kylie, this is a great teaching video with the words in English popping under the Italian phrases! Guido's quick delivery sure was hard to keep up with. 😄👍 And it reminded me of how rapidly some Italians speak! 😉 Yes, your suggestion of making this the year for learning to speak Italian is certainly a good one. I've studied it before but I'd love to re-aquaint myself. Grazie mille per continuare a pubblicare i tuoi video. xx😎🎥💕
Grazie mille Kylie! I’m studying Italian and added a lot of notes with this lesson. I’ll be in Maratea in September, hopefully will be able to continue traveling to Tropea and Puglia after. This will be my 3rd trip, I’m exited to see the south now. Grazie ancora! 🤗
Very nice addition to my other Italian language channels! Grazie mille
Ciao bella Thankyou for the Italian lessons it does seem not as complicated as English I accept your challenge to be fluent it helped also with Quido speaking in Italia and yes it will enrich my love for Italy and also my own life here in New Zealand Grazie my love Amore😘😘❤️❤️👌👌🌺🌺
Thank you so much, I am hoping to go to Italy for a holiday in May which has been put back from last year so I’ll have a look at your vacation phrases. It helps so much more than trying to study online
Loving this Italian lesson!
Loved this, thank you ❤️
You have the best music for your video posts. Really enjoy it.
ive been learning Italian since 2018 off and on. and this was still so helpful! learning is so fun isn't it!
I’m a culinary farmer looking for land Outside of Canada. Italy is number 1 on my list. Checks off all the boxes! I will be visiting Italy in October so hopefully by then my Italian improves. Grazie for this wonderful video.
I'm always amazed at all that you have accomplished and you are so young.
Bravissima!! You teach Italian very similar to the way I tutor it. Awesome job!!!
Thank you sweet Kylie & Guido !!!
Started Italian lessons a couple weeks ago. Listening to your sentences now it’s amazing to have a mother view on the language. Looking more and more in its soul.
Grazie Mile , Kylie
Grazie mille Kylie per questa lezione molto utile!
Lo riascolterò più volte e prendere nota.
Sei fantastica🥰😘🧡
Thank you, that was very helpful! ❤️
Thank you for sharing. I will try to practise. I hope to come to Italy some day.
Oh my gosh, you should teach Italian online! You make an excellent teacher! I have been studying for five years but I learned so much with your video!
Useful video and lovely scenery as always. I am struggling with learning Italian having purchased a house in Abruzzo. Looking forward to your next release :)
Great information. Thank you 😊
Kylie. -brilliant vid! Perfect phrase selections; you gifted me Confidence. ~Grazie Molto Rhonda
Kylieeeeeeeeeeeee! Ma sei fantastica! Ancora più di prima! Ma come è possibile? 😊
Amazing video, super useful! Time for a catch up!
Loved this video ! Please keep making more videos like this one 🥰
Wonderful, Kylie, grazie!
Yay! Currently learning Italian, as we are thinking of buying una piccola casa in Italia… this is so helpful for conversation starters! Am not afraid to brabble and throw in a little spanish or french to make myself clear, but having this is sooooo much easier later on!
Grazie per tutti!
love to see people interested in buying properties in Italy 😍
I am from the USA. I have been in Italy 8 separate times and my husband is from Italy, but I still found your lesson very engaging and helpful. Grazie.
I have been living in Italy two years and my Italiano is terrible. My 8 year old learnt so easily! I always find your language videos so helpful. Thank you.
Thanks, Kylie, that was great. I've been studying Italian since 2005, but I've had no one with whom to have conversation, so retention has been difficult. I would love to have a penpal on whom to practice.
In this time your film is the balm of my spirit🤩
Kylie, what a wonderful teacher you are. Your way of explaining these useful phrases is so comprehensible! I studied just a little Italian in University many, many years ago and have forgotten so much, but after your lesson I am feeling more confident that I could pick it up again.
😍
Great video! Thank you!
This is really useful for self taught leaner, because we don’t have recourse to confirm if the way we think is correct or not. For example I’ve tended to use too many gerunds and literally translate to “future tense” however this video just help clean my concerns about that. Now I know even just past tense could cover a lot of usage of gerund and future tense. Thanks!
That was great ! Thanks 👏👏👏
Thank you so much to explain the language. we need more pls!!!!
Kylie! You would make a great teacher / tutor for those learning Italian! Seriously, the way you break things down and put them into every day situations makes it easier to digest (and gives hope to anyone trying to learn). Did you use your love of film to write out scenes/scripts that ultimately helped you learn the language?
Oh wow, Kylie. I'm currently learning Italian. I can understand when you slowly say these words, but once Guido fires them off, I'm totally lost even though I know what he just said🤭. You're correct when you say that Italians chew, or merge words together. It's partially why Italian has such a beautiful cadence. ❤️ I still have so much more to learn. My class is once a week per zoom. I really wished it was in person, and more often...
A la prossima❤️
Hello, I am learning Italian and I find this video very informative. Thank you
Thanks Kylie. I'm actually learning Italian --- so I can converse with the locals when I travel there soon. I believe to be able to immerse yourself in the culture --- learning the language is important and don't expect everyone to speak English. Japanese is next on the list :)
Love your videos, Kylie! Would you consider one day creating a video telling the story of traditional clothing and textile stores and artisans in Italy? I loved visiting the beautiful clothing shops in Siena and wonder where you like to shop for clothing, as both you and Guido seem to have a classic style as well. Thanks for considering!
You nailed it with me here .
Grazie mille!
Very educational but I still missed seeing your reno work and your beautiful life in Tuscany. Stay safe and see you next week. Ciao
Kylie and Guido grazie per la lezione ♥️♥️♥️. Dio ti benedica sempre.
Mille Grazie, Kylie!

😘😘😘😘 Thank you!!
🧡
At last - I understand the difference between ‘a’ and ‘in’ !!! Thank you, that’s been been driving me crazy 🤪😁
That was so informative
I love Italy !!! I hope one day travel to Italy , this is my big dream ........
Great lesson . . . very practical - thx
The dress you were wearing at the beginning.... was everything!!!! 🤩
I love this one.. my first language is English, second is Spanish, I tend to get confused when it comes to grammer, never was good at it, so I practices phases and its easier for me, plus lots of Italian and Spanish words are similar, although may be used a little differently. Thank you, more please..
Fantastic 👏🏾
Grazie mille , Kylie :)
stunning lesson. Here i come
Thank you Kylie!! Thank you for serving us so beautifully!
Ps- who designs all of your beautiful apparel??
Much love from NYC
Enjoy that you could share your Italian learning experience, and wish you can teach more In the future🌹
Video as always very nice and interesting. A little suggestion and advice to our dear foreign friends, from me who are Italian: Attention as our language (and this is the beauty of it) despite being always strongly linked to its Greek and Latin origins is always in constant evolution. In reality we say that, as for Latin, there are two types of Italian: the classical-correct one and the one defined by the Accademia della Crusca - the highest authority in the field of study, conservation and analysis of the Italian language - as "popular Italian". Please note that, for an Italian, they are both understandable, but while the first is more "correct" in fact (and it is what is taught outside the Italian borders), the other is a little more "rustic", not much cured and with allusions that would not be very correct, but are generally accepted because they are compremsible (such as "Da quand’è" compared to the more correct "Da quant’è"). Personally, after 5 years of classical high school I am a purist of the Italian language and I always use the correct Italian, but this is only for my will, it is not mandatory! 😁 I hope I have been helpful and if you have more specific questions than I said, I am at your disposal! Meanwhile, my compliments to Kylie, as always! 😁
Brava Kylie Grazie ancora!
