As a fellow western Canadian who also had a 30th birthday in 2015, hi! Thank you for being you. I am hoping to taking my kiddos to Japan and the parks at sometime in our lives and it’s so wonderful to use your info to plan in my head!
1985 kids represent! Always makes me happy to see other Canadians in the comments (there's literally dozens of us!) I hope you get to bring the family sometime
We were just at Disneysea last Tuesday the lines were really long. Thank you for the info on when to arrive and how to obtain standby/Premier and Priority access tickets. That was very helpful and informative, love the channel.
Thank you, Ethan! I'm glad the information was useful. Usually September isn't too bad for crowds but this year they've seem to have been quite high (tourism has increased significantly to Japan)
I shall miss these (which is sad because the poison apple dumpling looks amazing!) but I shall hopefully get yummy Christmas food (eagerly waiting on that vid) in November!!!...omg November is only a little over a month away. I have so much to do still!
I'm coming, I'm coming! I'll be there in just over a week, very excited for the halloween food and all the rest, and will make sure to stop by cafe portofino for dinner
That a great tip on table saving there. And always, love seeing pumpkin goods. And here in my area of the states there are two types of pumpkins, you have the normal USA pumpkins and we have a high breed that is sweet and that is what is used for desserts. But japanese pumpkins are so good.
“Jafar may need glasses” 😂 lol I so love that Family Guy joke. Kudos for mentioning that specific character which recently gotten introduced in Dreamlight Valley this late summer 😊
Just want to say thank for all your hard work with USJ I had a wonderful time there this week, I go back home tomorrow so quite sad but happy with stuff managed to w😂😂😂😊
Hi Chris! My Mom and I went to Tokyo Disney Resort from September 12.-15. for the first time and we were watching your videos and guides beforehand. It was all such valuable information and it really helped us a lot. ❤ We were also very surprised about the Halloween stuff, since we weren't expecting Halloween stuff before the actual event time. So we stuffed ourselves with everything that was possible. XP Love your videos and thanks for the work you put into it! 😊 Greetings from Germany ❤
11pm uk time and I’m watching a video about food, I’m now hungry lol. Going to disagree with you on the sweetie case, the cup one is the cutest one of the two. Will agree with you about cheese, everything savoury needs cheese. Love love love the shirt you’re wearing.
Love your food videos!! Would you consider doing a video of new foods that come out that are not event-specific? Like Vulcania has a new set until spring.
5:07 I'd honestly get the desert just for that cute mug 😅 9:13 and the little pouch! GHA with you Chris. Too cute-ta 32:29 what is the starfish? You'll need to do a review for us. The pizza looks interesting. Have you tried it? Also the cute little sandwich looking bag thing!
Love your videos. I went to the parks in April and now going back on October. My daughter is marrying a man from Nara so I hope I can come back every year. DisneySea is the most amazing park. Can’t wait to see Fantasy Springs ❤
So many great options! We will be visiting from Canada VERY soon and can't wait to try the coffee scented roast beef after you rated it so highly. Thanks for sharing
Me and my JP D-ota friend we both said that compared to last year, they used too much kabocha! Last year many sweets were kabocha or satsumaimo which is the Japanese sweet potato and made things sweater but not a dry and heavy as kabocha. The crepes were a hard pass for us both and non of us could or wanted to finish it. Maybe with caramel sauce it would be better and less dry.. We did both agree that Disney Sea's special sandwich is way better this year than the tdl one.
I am in my jammies and I am on my couch. I want to go to Japan! I want to try the food… But my travel buddy aka my boyfriend is not very tech savvy… My boyfriend still lives in a world of cash and debit… He does not do online banking at all. So I think I will have to pick up your guidebook to see if we can idiot proof paying for stuff. lol I do know of the card that Canadians can use that either is loaded or is connected to your actual banking card. I think I’m gonna have to dive deeper into that. I started watching this video last night before bed but found I was starving lol so I finished this morning… Thanks for the video ! love it as always.
Thank you for watching! I don't have a video on this but did a podcast episode recently on how to pay for things in Japan. I recommend giving that a listen tdrexplorer.com/podcast/how-to-pay-for-things-in-japan-ep317/
Yes I am currently lounging on my couch in my PJs. And yes we have our flights booked for October 11th!! Can't wait to get there! And so happy to see a plant based option that's not dessert! Haha
Everytime I see those adorable candy cases, I think about how cute they’d be as Christmas ornaments 🥰🥰 amazing video as always!! I want to try pumpkin gratin so bad lol
Sweet potato and pumpkin are my favorite flavors also like chestnut and personally honey and cheese is always good. But then again I've always liked sweet savory more
Great video on Tokyo Disney Sea Halloween food Tour enjoyed seeing all the different foods you tried and it made my a little peckish thanks for sharing this 👍❤️
Hey Chris, love the video, I have a question, for the souvenirs(cup, plates) do you have to purchase the food with it or can you put right buy the souvenirs? Just asking as someone who has some food allergies.
Thank you for posting all your videos. I love to see them. My family and I are heading to Tokyo in November. And making two different trips to Tokyo, Disneyland and DisneySea.. one November 6th and 7th .. Not sure if you would know or not, but do you think The Halloween souvenirs will still be available that close to the end of the Halloween season?? 😊 From A fellow Canadian! 😂😊
Hi Chris just wanted to say thanks for your guides and tips we had a blast. Also just to say was so excited to see you actually this week at disneyland.. But didn't want to chase you down 😅 now regret it. Thanks!
I don't know if there is a difference in Halloween timing between Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea, but I actually have a Halloween souvenir mug from September of 2018 from Tokyo Disneyland. It has the characters decked out in a Haunted Mansion style and I think it had some kind of pumpkin custard in it. Such amazing parks!
Love these videos. I'll be going to Tokyo DisneyLand and DisneySea at the end of Oct 2024. Wishing I knew which snack items you could order separately or which items you can only get if ordering a whole set.
those candy containers look so adorable, especially the Mickey and Minnie ghosts -- my first thought seeing it: "I wanna fill it up with Jelly Belly jellybeans" *Edit* I just did the math. You're ten years older than me, I'm a '95 baby XD
Is it worthwhile to wait until after Nov 7 (but before Nov 15) to go to DisneySea? I’m not fussed on Halloween, but will tragically miss the Christmas stuff. Will there be lower crowds in that week between?
I wish more of the options would be dairy free. I am allergic to dairy, so my options are very limited. I see all of this super yummy stuff and I can’t have any of it. 😢
It was jarring. I do my best to sit in spots where no one is behind me (so they aren't in the video and we have to blur) and this spot usually works but the music was just so loud this time for some reason.
The dates on the souvenirs is definitely a good thing (with cups and plates and such) as it makes them more collectible. I would go nuts for that mug that came with the tiramisu though, regardless of the date, that is a really cute mug and it looks big (as not all Japanese Novelty mugs are). One thing I never thought about though, but can you buy Alcohol at Disney Japan? And more specifically is there any hidden alcohol in their desserts? I'd imagine not, given they could be accidentally served to children, but I feel like alcohol laws are a little bit more loose than they are in the US (And in all honesty, I feel like restaurants here can get away with giving kids a little bit of alcohol hidden in foods and desserts... but I imagine not at a Disney Park)
All I had to do was to wait to the next segment to see if they served alcohol at the park! (Still wonder about the hidden Alcohol in food items though, not really 'hidden'', but I mean the alcohol isn't necessarily all cooked out or tiny enough to not make you tipsy. You probably don't know what this means, but I don't want to get Carla Hall drunk!)
The Cocoa-Cola Strawberry/Jafar drink totally sounds like a drink someone would wish for from a genie so it seems very appropriate! That said, I feel like we know the drink Jafar would be drinking would probably have some kind of wine in it or something. No way would Miguel ever touch that/his drink though, lol
The steamed buns are kind of extra fun for halloween because they kind of also look like giant candy! I just wish the Snow-white apple was cinamon-apple-and pear, like an apple turnover, and the Pumpkin maybe a curry pumpkin and pulled pork, or maybe the bacon, potatoes, eggs, and cheese... or maybe just pumpkin and (dark) chocolate... I don't know, they all might go well!
souvenirs with dates are a difficult thing i think for the parks. cause when the year is over nobody wants to but it anymore. so if they have a lot of left over stock they can’t get rid of it.. i like things with the date on it. but only when it’s a pin or a mug or something.
I would love to find out how far in advance they have to create the special dishes to give them time to get the fake food made that they use in the displays.
What cool merch for this year! Does anyone know where someone in the states can get help buying special.erch from TDL and USJ? I need some these items this year so bad!

here in the philippines we call the purple sweet potato and any dessert made from it, UBE! so ube ice cream, ube pan de sal, etc.
@@itsshow35 In Indonesia it's called UBI

the poison apple and pumpkin steamed buns were probably my favorite, so unique :D

Can you do a video talking about your journey becoming a TDR? How you started and decided to move to Japan? What do you like about living in Japan?
wish I watch this video coz I just came back from disneySea! love your video though. 5 stars for all the tips.
Glad it was helpful!

Would have been cool if the minnie and mickey candy accessories were containing lights, festive for halloween.

We lucked out and got into Magellans on our trip back in 2018, and I think about it all the time
I love the vibes so much and the food is a bonus

I live on the Hudson River in New York (near New York City.) It is so weird seeing a place based off of it in a Japanese theme park!
