this is amazing! what kind of paint do you use? also how did you get into abstract art? I'm such a traditionalist its hard to break out of the mould sometimes. but i am so willing to try! it looks so cathartic
+shem - yeah, I think it is... how did I get into it? I think i just wanted to try as many things as I could! it's always fun and a nice break going back and forth between abstract and my other styles - the paint is regular artist acrylics

What a beautiful abstract! As an abstract painter myself, I haven't tried using such a big "knife/scrapper" before... I'll have to try that what a great idea! I love the palette of this piece - subdued with a few burst of color. Lovely!

what medium do u add with paint water or oil or something else for flowing paints on canvas
+Meera Mehta when using acrylic paints which I usually do, I use a bit of water but not too much. When i want a flowing effect I usually choose a more liquid paint

bonjour, merci pour votre message! I really go with my feelings when I am painting and I choose the colors spontaneously. So I'm not sure exactly which colors I used for this painting but I reviewed the video and it looks like you see most of the colors as they are added on the video. Hope that helps, bonne chance!

bonjour Mathilde, merci pour ton message! I am a professional artist. In Russia the schools are different but anyway I was in a visual arts focused program from grade 8 on... then I got my qualification to teach art in school and after that completed a 5-year program in monumental art at Mukhina (now renamed Stieglitz) in St. Petersburg. I get my inspiration mostly from nature... I love being in the forest or by the ocean!

I had trouble pulling the paint around. Maybe I didn't put enough on the canvas
+Joseph Doyen yeah use as much as you need to be able to work with it... sometimes the amount of paint added isn't shown completely on the videos
