the proof is in the pudding, it has absolutely bred success & the incredible art, music, animation we've seen from dreams has proven its worth! and to think that was all within the restriction of it being solely on playstation happy to hear the success stories and i hope we hear about more in the future, either way, the portfolios people have made will forever be stapled in history and everyone should be proud of their creations 😊 it's also great to see you in front of the camera, the editing and voiceover were🔥🔥
Yes, you learn a lot from it. There is no easier engine to use which is as capable as this. The two main downsides is the thermo limit (due to being PS4 software) and not being able to export your work outside of Dreams.
I'm honestly surprised Dreams didn't get a PS5 port, a PSVR2 2 port and a Steam port. It actually boggles my mind. But PlayStation green lit a God of War live service game that was just cancelled.
The European PlayStation team that made this game is very small, they were working on a PS5 and PC version, but they prioritized a new IP dreams for ps5 and pc was cancelled:(
@@deadlocked5337 ohhhhh thanks on letting me know on this, I loved my times I had with dreams a ton on my ps5. I just hope whatever they make is something similar to dreams.
media molucle has gotten smaller throughout the years and isn't receiving much light and funding by sony, they already know Dreams won't work out and will probably lead to the studios shutdown if they prioritize it even more, they are probably working on a single player game like tearaway.
@@Acelustrous Oh... yeah, after the failure of Concord, PlayStation canceling most games as a service, I'm glad to know that Media Molecule will do something more traditional
welcome back, old friend! and yes, Dreams can be still useful, even for us "dreamers with ambitions", and for people like me who spent almost 2 years to make a Metal Gear Solid fan remake that almost nobody watched xD But I don't care, I made it mainly for myself. Fuck the algorithms, let's just keep doing art! 2025 is gonna be huge!
I sure miss having time to mess around with dreams a ton. When I find time I would love to take time with dreams more this year and actually learn the tool compared to my previous attempts. Also Welcome Back Sakku. hope ya had a great Christmas n new years. so far.
Great video, thank you for posting. Yes, I still use Dreams, I enjoy a daily word game and it is always interesting to take a look around at the creations👍
honestly I can't see myself quitting dreams anytime soon, I got addicted on sculpting and making payable puppets. I don't play much the games the community is making as the moment I boot up dreams I went and start making original models or sculpt random stuff right away. even if they completely shut down the servers one day I will still be making stuff and store them on a USB stick, since the local save of dreams is unreliable unfortunately. the only thing that really is running the dreams community are these kids whose wonder around and report and have stuff they don't like to get moderated. I made a Tails sculpture and I really liked it, it got around 126 likes it's been there for like 3 years, few weeks ago it just got moderated and I dunno why, the dreams moderation said it was flagged as Offensive and Abusive..... just WTF?
I always used Dreams as a great creative toy to play with for fun with no goal to make a career out of it or anything. So Dreams is still incredible for me. For those who hoped it would become a bit of an industry integrated tool it didn't turn out that well.
So short sight of Sony to end support. I hope that they somehow come back to it now that they seem to be seeing the error of their ways in going so hard on live service. This could have evolved into a crazy universe with multiplayer. I still love it. Nothing like sculpting in VR!
Wish I still had my PlayStation account with it. It got hacked and I charge backed a need for speed game they bought and my account got banned. Apparently you need to still pay for a game you don’t own, didn’t want, or play.
Or, ya know, if your insane like me you find a way to export your assets from dreams to an engine like Godot and can use it for game dev in that way aswell, thanks to photogrammetry LOL
What are you guys thoughts on this? Are you still using Dreams?
i use to use it but when sony would not let it come to pc where it could do sooo more.I got dreams on ps4.i left dreams for womp 3d
Are you going to be making more Dreams tutorials?
Personally, I'll never stop. I've yet to find a tool or outlet that's anywhere close to what Dreams allows me to do
Yes, currently working on a Titanic game with the same people who made P.T. 10th Anniversary Edition
Could you plz name the games you show from 0:38 to 1:28 ? Thxs !
Short and Long answer is “Yes!” , no matter which category you happen to be in and glad to see you back.
Dreams will always have a special place in our hearts

It's always going to be so great for me. It's going to be in my heart as will it's community ❤
Wow, would really love a list of those games you featured at the start of the video!
The content you create on Dreams can be used as your portfolio for job positions later down the line, so yes in both short and long-term.
Great video, thank you for posting.

YES.
I wish they would port Dreams to PC, id play it 24/7 😭
I've always seen Dreams as a toy for consumers
todas las animaciones que haces son con el dual sense?
o usas los VR?
hay manera de que se pueda usar raton, mouse o tableta digital?
