If you know music, if you really understand and are able to pick apart pieces that uniquely distingush a great artist, THIS right here ignites something. I don't care if you don't like rap, soulful or rock and roll or what ever the genre; but the moment you hear a good rap verse, an unforgettable high note that reaches deep inside you or in this case, that spunk, and that that edge that ignites a reaction….THAT'S an artist. He understands who he is and understands how to deliver, it's not just about making music or covering a song to make it yours, anyone and mostly all artists today can do that….and at a faster pace which is better for them by all means, money is one thing that is undebatable, so lets not even go there. Is he the best vocalists, maybe not but reflect on the artists that encompass our generation and that argument falls flat out invalid. Dean Ray...so talented and a natural, Marlisa also so talented and so young, Brothers3 I love there talent as a group and are very talented musicians, Reigan is talented, and has a great voice but I do feel that she forces and strains her vocals to achieve her notes, this won't stand her in good stead in a few years. They will ALL do very well out of this going forward in their careers... it's wonderful. The very best performer won't necessarily win the top prize, but they do get a huge guaranteed future out of this competition..

Seriously? Any guy with decent vocal quality could actually render his songs the way he make those songs as his own then make it emotional and favorable to the ears of all. He is reaching at the peak of his ability, and stretching the same style each week is risky and getting boring. Let's face it! He is very likeable at first, there's an xfactor about him defined by his style both in appearance and the way he sings. But to conclude the show with him is like giving Kris Allen the win over Adam Lambert. Now, who's Adam Lambert.

i like his voice when he's actually singing and the song is upbeat. his ballad voice just feels artificially strange and really distracting from the song itself. i don't think he's technically the best singer, but given the right genre, he is capably of establishing his own sound, i just question the marketability of him. he kind of makes me think of a 90's alternative artist with 1 or 2 hits before it becomes clear they're a 1 trick pony.

It wasn't out of tune. He was not singing to Aplin's arrangement. That arrangement was made for him. Out of tune is when your pitch failed to match the pitch of the music. He was perfect throughout. And the second song was classics done to perfection. It is difficult to perform a classic rock song as well as he did. No one else in X Factor this year could have done what he did there, which made him unique.
