I used to live there. I moved away in 2006. I always enjoyed photographing the boats by the pier on the west side. Some days they just came out so beautiful. I also enjoyed going to coney island in the summer. Enjoy your stay.😊
I love the enthusiasm in this video Jared. Nothing like exploring a new place, especially someplace as interesting as where you were in this vid. As a former firefighter I loved the NYFD rolling through. Heading out tomorrow to a town I have only photographed a couple of times and will try to take your enthusiasm with me. Can’t wait to hear when you get a solo gallery show too.
Thank you Robert! The NYFD was a nice addition to the video, it felt very new york haha thank you for your service 🙏 and that sounds like a blast, I hope you had a great time shooting in the town. It's always a fun adventure. A solo gallery show would be a dream! Only time will tell
Wow!!!! What a great location!! So much going on and the light is just fantastic. I can see this becoming a favourite shooting place for you. Great vid. Keep them coming!!
Oh man it's soo much fun shooting here, really love the light and shadow and all the layers to shoot through, and the constant stream of people. Absolutely is becoming a favorite. Thank you Tony! 😄🙏
Hey Jared! Born & raised NY'r who lived in Astoria for quite some time now living in TX. New to your channel but you're making me homesick. Really enjoying the content. & had to laugh at 10:39 .... with the jaywalking ....you're a true NY'r already my friend!
Hi Jared, you're in the neighborhood I grew up in. It's where I fell in love with street photography. Try Corona Heights, where 108st and Corona Ave meet. I took photos there a long time ago, during a bocce game with my Pentax K1000.
Been missing one of these! Another great video, and so awesome to realise how much more confortable you are in comparison to the first videos I watched from you. Keep rocking and improving! Will be here to support it :) (Been shooting around Porto, Portugal! And I certainly think you'd love to shoot here, such a beautiful city!)
Aghh that means a lot to hear, thank you man!! Thanks for following along on the journey 😌🙏 Porto looks amazing!! Really would love to get out there one day
I really have to go NYC to shoot some street..btw gotta a quick question what's the lens you were out with and also got the 24mm ef u reviewed..love that lens atm
Agh it’s such a special place to shoot, life happening in every way possible all around you, depending on where you are of course haha I’m glad you’re liking the 24mm! That’s been my main one since moving here. I was using a 50mm 1.8 in this one, which I also love

I felt more uninspired by watching this video
youtubers ruined street photography..
not a fan of the photos sorry - it seemed in the video a lot of missed opportunities with the work men and the steam
Couldn't find any links to your work. I'll take your word on it being superior.
