This might be my favorite "Bruce McCulloch Remembers" so far. Every new layer was just as bizarre as the sketch itself, which really says a lot when the sketch in question is Work Pig.
Love these stories so much and these sketches bring me back. I am a big fan of wearing "coffee colored shirts" and I insist on everyone to "arrive haven eaten" to this day much to their confusion. Hope you share more, there are so many great characters/sketches...
AwWw, such a array of cute nicknames-I think it'd be great to see a "Son Of Work 🐖" sketch, maybe have him do a crossover with Flying Pig!!! ☺️ P.S. Please send my best wishes to Mom McCullough!!! 💖
This is great. The sketch was amazing but what powerful backstory about your mom, "arrive having eaten", and even the music for the show. There is the that sketch were the characters are watching heart surgeries on tv. Oh wow. It all loops back.
What a wonderful little story, thanks so much for sharing with us Bruce! You’re one of my biggest comedy influences and that sketch has always been a favorite of mine for how much I could relate to it…Never realized how much it was based on personal experience 😂.
This is cool. I remember this sketch. And he pours coffee on his heart and sticks it back inside doesn't he? Oh, man I'd love to know more about the sketch where the father drives his son out into the middle of no-where on his son's "Coming of age" birthday to watch his old man get stinking drunk tradition. That sketch is so funny... It makes me laugh.
How did I never think to search for your official channel? I always saw you as the mastermind behind the whole show. Never as a "work pig" To me you were the strongest personality. I figured that was obvious for everyone. Not that the different characters didn't have their own powers, but if anyone led the show it was you. There's no question about that.
The image of pulling out your heart and pouring coffee on it to make it work harder always cracks me up, I often imagine it in the morning before work!
The worst Character in the entire show. the most Overated character of that show. Most ppl I imagine would rather Learn more about the lesser knowns. :)
This is amazing, thank you for doing these! I was wondering if the sketch "Wake Up" (Season 1 Episode 10) was inspired by true events. Also, in that sketch you mention calculating specific amounts of liquor to drink - was that inspired by your Tequila Fest days?

Does anyone know if the heart attack scene was filmed in an actual office?
