I was surprised you didn't catch any catfish will fishing for the striper and muskie is it because you weren't fishing that deep or location? I like to see you guys fishing for different types of fish
I'm going to have to go where you all fish at in Tennessee I'm from paintsville, ky eastern ky the fish you can catch it's just insane amounts ,there s not any good place to fish here we have two lakes but boats are here to many in my opinion
Hey buddy I have a question for ya and am in need of an opinion..I'm gettin a Okuma Longitude 12ft surf rod for my birthday and I'm plannin on puttin a Penn Fierce 3 8000 size reel on it was wonderin if that would be a good combo ?...I'm probably gonna go with either 40lb mono or 50lb braid and 100lb leader line (100lb saltwater mono)...its the only 100lb leader line I can find in a store without orderin some...idk if the saltwater is gonna be a good option....any input on any of this is gonna be greatly appreciated..thanks and good luck and tight lines brother
How many you guy hook with j hooks? Cause the hybrids we catch on the Ohio get gut hooked alot with J hooks! I do still use them i just cut line and leave hook in them!
Not very many since we generally have the rod in our hands. I've gut hooked quite a few on circle hooks too. Unfortunately it's going to happen sometimes no matter what you do.
I Mine was a joke too.I have seen some strange fish come from these waters i am convinced it has alot to do with the nuclear history of our area.Still love the great fishing we have.Maybe there not strange just unique.Another joke.

Do you feel skipjack is a better bait than big gizzard shad for stripers.
On most days yes. Gizzard shad sometimes work better when striper are less active and want a more finesse presentation
Haven't seen a striper like that since my stepdad hooked his 55lber back in 77or78 here in central Ca.
What lake are you on?
Watts Bar
