Every body is different and every body fluctuates. There is no right diet for everyone across the board. The carnivore diet can be healing for certain conditions, but I understand that the benefits decrease with time and that a high vegetable diet, while slower in its effects, ultimately wins the race because it’s more sustainable and healthy over the long term. But the carnivore diet is great for addressing some things in the short term (like a year or so). I’m intrigued by your allergic reaction to ALL vegetables. I would like to learn more. My understanding is that only certain vegetables, like tomatoes, can cause histamines. I wonder if you could eventually overcome the condition by adhering to a protocol that slowly allows your immune system to calm its reaction to things. I just heard the other day that Reishi mushrooms helps immune systems that are both under active and overactive restore to a happy middle ground.
I think you have to do what is best for you. That you shouldn't eat "only" this, only that or a little bit of everything just because someone once said this is the only way to be healthy. If your health is good, it means that you' re fine and you keep doing what you do.

Very interesting. I'm a T2 diabetic and I always feel my best when I'm staying active, getting sun, and eating lots of veggies. I mean I will eat a 12oz bowl of steamed broccoli and cauliflower daily or have a salad for breakfast. Not out of "dieting" but sometimes my body genuinely craves the veggies. On the other side, I will have times where I eat terribly often out of stress. Its pretty cyclical for me as a woman, but I do tend to eat the same veggies. The only histamine reaction I get is mildly out of oats, especially when I make overnight oats. When you grow up poor, I think your body gets used to eating what you can afford and sometimes that looks like the same stuff in some households. In mine, there was definitely some variety based on sales. New salad mix on clearance cuz its expiring tomorrow? Mom nabbed it for us. Different cut of meat that is on sale? Mom grabbed it and made something out of it, a soup or just prepped with veggies. I try to stay open that way too like she was, though now with her age she definitely settles with a routine.

"Ancestral diets," to the limited extent they can be known, don't matter except for generating hypotheses. Those hypotheses then have to be tested, either by mechanistic, observational, or, most importantly, interventional studies. The vast majority of the studies point to a largely plant diet having the best health outcomes, which is what matters. There's certainly room for some animal foods, especially fish, if you choose. That said, there's individual variation. Some people do have trouble with plants. There's a recent study by Christopher Gardner which showed that this can often be overcome by eating fermented food to repair the microbiome.

It's a difficult subject to understand. We've all been taught to eat vegetables daily for optimal health. Thats why we have research - to reduce the guesswork, to reduce the "I believe"s, the "I feel"s- to find out what works the best for the most.
@@overkillblackjack2910 there is a lot of unconfortable things that we have to deal with and we don't have to feel bad just because we are humans and humans have to suffer. No, they don't.
@Overkill Blackjack that's what I meant I've tried all diets from keto to carnivore except vegan. I couldn't do carnivore long term due to heart palpitations but carnivore is a great reset diet that can tell you what plants/veggies that don't sit well with you gut. And humans are that different from one another because of allergic reactions I may be able to eat peanuts and some people can't that's just one example. Some veggies and plants wreck people's stomachs and others are fine eating them. Eating styles are great tools to use to tweak ones diet to fit them personally to help achieve whatever bf% or health goal they're striving for imo of course
@@txlockednloaded2128 ok, thanks, good answer... One example that bothers me is intermittent fasting. "I just cant do that, I get light-headed. I am 'different.' It doesnt work for me." But cant you overcome the temporary, uncomfortable lignt-headedness to reap the obvious huge benefits that can change your life?... But I digress: indeed I am being judgmental as others can easily do things that I cannot (or will not).
@Overkill Blackjack I work construction in 115° summers in South Texas I'd be risking my safety if I went full carnivore long term I would never be able to replenish the electrolytes and minerals I sweat out fast enough. I also do IF frequently
If you're concerned if you're getting the right balance of raw, organic, ripe, cooked, nutrient rich, anti cancer/anti nutrient, etc....probably should have your diet analyzed by a holistic functional trained nutritionist/dietitian. You might discover you also have intolerances not only to certain animal products but also vegetation based on your individual microbiome and ancestry
Was very disappointed in my order from House ofMacadamia. Tiny portions. Haven’t tried the nut butter yet.
The health of Americans has decreased dramatically relatively recently. But the food Revolution started in the 15th century when Columbus introduced corn, potatoes, peanuts , tomatoes, peppers , beans, squash etc etc. to the old world. So most of what europeans descent humans eat has no evolutionary basis.
Thomas you need a session with Prof Bart Kay, and from that point onwards your video s would make health sense
Thomas! Great vids! Curious as to your opionion on this; I currently follow IF 5 out of 7 days, approximately 18:6. I break my fast with a protein shake but am considering adding chia seeds to this to get a little more fibre - would this be detrimental and better to save them for later in the feasting window, or all good to go from what you know?
This Thomas doesn’t appear to ever reply to his viewers questions
Great question
But you’ll be hard pressed to get a reply
No clue why
Good videos
But he seems to ignore the many good questions that his viewers ask
I wish he would reply
It’s unfortunate !!
This may help. ua-cam.com/video/M3EBiJCpkkI/v-deo.html
Love these talks
is this part of a longer interview?
The Blood type diet by Dr Dadamo works well for me
Macca nut bars sweetened with munk fruit?
I subscribe to this guy he's very good on nearly all his posts, but now he is saying raw veg now might not be good for our health, it looks like we are going full circle or is it a case of just putting a video out there for the sake of publicity.
I have very few veggies I can even stand the taste of. Had them cooked a variety of ways. Many are too bitter. Some just taste like a mouth full of algae.
*Simply no need to eat a single vegetable. Not required at all. I am carnivore, never felt better at any point in my life than right now*
I live in a place where there are macadamia nut farms and i only eat then rarely..
Old man is looking at Thomas like 'who is this fool'? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
LOOKING AT YOU PAUL SALADINO AND ANTHONY CHAFFEE
On point
after 40 years as vegetable's guy 100% vegetarian I now know that fruits meat hard cheese kefir and low volume rice side dish is good but not vegetables...
Microdosing vegetables. Klaus' wetdream for the population
They want us eating plants and bugs. Meanwhile the carnivore diet trend is curing 10000s and they want to ban beef because cows fart😂
*No, just doing 100% carnivore and feel better than ever. My diet consists of meat, oily fish and eggs only* 🍖🐟🥚
What about organs?
You have an intolerence for a lot of food I guess
@@anabolicmeals2013 *Certainly an intolerance to carbohydrates, which if eaten too much will result in me becoming metabolically unwell. Plants are filled with toxins I have no use for them*
@@BlackJeepConvertible *Occasional organ meats are consumed, very occasional. The human can sustain itself on the skeletal muscle meat of animals and the associated fat that accompanies that muscle meat* 🐄🍖🐖
Many peoples in ancient times ate foods from other places/continents! I'm from Germany, for instance, and our merchants traveled far and wide and traded spices and tropical fruits and such for their wares easily over 500 years ago! We have consumed many different foods alongside our local ones for a very long time!!!
Frustrated with HOM ads, they don’t even sell raw or lightly roasted macadamias in larger volume quantities?🤷♀️
We could travel one hundred miles a day by dog team. We have been trading goods and foods for a long time.
Just give it up. You don’t need to eat your veggies
This just rose more questions.. but interesting
Geographically regional Ethnocentric diet
I'm micro dosing magic mushrooms
I like the macadamia ad: "it's sweetened with...uh...it has no sugar" 😂
Doesn't want to mention the fatal side effects of fake sugar alcohol
Agreed, I hate it when he promotes products that contradict his whole schtick. Guess selling out to sponsorship is more important than integrity. Disappointing.
@@deniselogan2733 he's gotta get paid to give us free content. Give him some slack.
@@adambow3116 Yep, he does get paid by UA-cam for the content and it's NOT OK for someone with a platform about health to promote trash. You can tell he knows it in the way he stumbles over the words about this product. Even Thomas knows this stuff is filled with unhealthy junk and that he's out of integrity promoting it - his body language and speech pattern on this promo says it all. I just find it ironic to include poison in a video about "Just enough Poison". People pay attention to what he says, IT MATTERS. Saying "dude's gotta make a living" doesn't excuse it. There are lots of product sponsors to choose from that aren't promoting junk.
@@deniselogan2733 and I agree with you completely on these points. And within this industry full of con men, grifters and incompetent unhealthy influencers, it's even that more he separates himself ethically, especially since science-based positioning is his shtick.
Is this a reupload?
Small section from an earlier longer video, yeah
Wow finally found anti nutrients video ❤
Kind of confused about your take on veggies. This video you seem to say to eat veggies in small doses. But in your ‘keto 2023’ video from the beginning of the year you say “eat as much as you want” in regards to leafy, cruciferous, and fibrous veggies. 🤷♂️
My thought exactly🤐
I bet small doses is all anybody wants.
Weird...
Ya. Did you know broccoli contains a myostatin inhibitor?
What do myostatins do?
@@kedabro1957 they inhibit muscle growth.
Just eat balance diet for me.anything excess is not good
I was at my healthiest when I ate mostly vegetables, it wasn’t until I started listening to all this diet BS that my digestive system seems to be getting more and more messed up!!
Meat /space cake/magic mushrooms/fruits.....all you need👍
What is space cake?
you may need but i may not need
For anyone who suffers from inflammation, histamine reactions, oxalates, bloating and weight gain etc, from eating fruit and veg, doing a proper cleanse similar to Candida protocols, and then long term repopulation of gut biome through powerful bacteria like kefir grains, should resolve this.
Myopia... avg iq has gone down over last 200yrs, on our way to using brando
You mean Brawndo?
From Idiocracy?
In 2 years time you will realise whole food plant base with some wild caught fish.
Humans should not eat pork and vegetables.
What about being raw vegan? I tried it for 6 months and no issues whatsoever. This stuff is too complicated. What else can be better for you than fruits and vegetables?
It's a difficult subject to understand. We've all been taught to eat vegetables daily for optimal health. Unfortunately, I don't have the answers but something's changed for a large majority of the world's population.
Either the vegetables have been tampered with through GMO or the soils aren't what they used to be. Idk🤷 but there it is, there are many people who can't tolerate too many or any fruit and vegetables. Of course there's that GMO labelling again, most of the fruits have been made to be so sweet, you may as well have a handful of sweets 👍🏼
@@veez_vee9573 Totally agree! We all need to grow our own. Organic doesn't mean completely pesticide free either. Plus, food has gotten so incredibly expensive.
Quality meat
Tune out all the diet talks and do what works for you. I eat meat and feel sick after that. Plant based and green leafy veggies work for me. I was taught even in grade school to eat plenty of green leafy vegetables. If they are bitter, I can easily sweeten them with plantains. I feel so much better with a mainly plant based diet. My great grandmother who died at 99 years of age lived on veggies only. Carnivore is the latest fad diet. I tune out all those fad diets and do what works for me. Mainly plant based, 103 lbs, 20.1 BMI, 62 years old and post-menopausal, still gets called "Young Lady." The irony is that after my son took me out for omakase dinner, the ladies in the restaurant referred to him as the one seated close to the wall with his "girlfriend." Oy gevalt. They couldn't tell that he was with his mother. Just do what works for you.
