Great session with many good ideas in here also for kadence team: - "New" indicator / badge next to category in filters - more options to design and highlight social proof / testimonials - accessibility checker in block editor What made me smirk: don't give discounts straight away. it de-values your brand...get my book with 50% off ;)
I have Kadence Pro, does anyone know if I need the woocommerce shop kit in order to have the wishlist icon show up in the header? I'm thinking that must be the case because despite trying yith wishlist or Ti wishlist, neither one has the Wishlist icon show up in the header.
At the moment, Kadence Shop Kit doesn't include a wishlist feature. If you use another plugin to add a wishlist to WooCommerce, you can easily add that to the header (if desired) by adding a custom menu item.
Notes to self: - Don't lead with a discount. Instead of subtracting ($$, %), concentrate on adding (free shipping, a gift with purchase, etc); - Blog, About, Contact, Login in the footer, unless these pages are conversion points (i.e Contact for consulting business); - Put blog articles where they are helpful on sales pages; - Search is important and must be in the top nav and Search page absolutely should be optimized; - Visitors don't engage with sliders; - Main nav should be product or goal oriented; - Footer's first column should mirror main nav, middle column - support and help links, far right - contact info (ideally includes physical address, email, phone #) and newsletter signup form; - Accessibility!!! Contrasting color on buttons, not color itself is what's important, alt and title tags on images - There must be a connection between the ad and the landing page (design, copy); - Movement on the screen (carousel, slider) will draw attention so it needs to provide value; - Social proof works but no one is going to wait for the sliders, better to put lots of small logos all at once or just most recognizable ones; - FAQs are tricky; it's better to answer the question when and where it happens; - In testimonials, highlight the most important sentence or phrase; - Testimonials should be higher up on the page; - End page with a CTA; - Free shipping top bar works. Consumers don't see it as a discount, they see it as value add; - Split nav isn't as performant as "logo on the left" kind; - Gifs are distracting! - CTAs should always be buttons, not just links; - With social proof, if it's not a simple logo but a link, have it open to YOUR lightbox or landing page, don't send visitors to that website, they will probably not come back; - 6-7 items in navigation max; - Coffee shop test; - Higher conversions on desktop for high ticket items even though research most likely starts on mobile; This was good! Thanks.
