Got them both, just picked up the figuarts for $28 prime delivery on Amazon so win/win.. a couple other differences in my opinion, they really overdid the wash on black series. Because of the articulation the black series has balance problems without a stand. Pros for black series for me pretty much start and stop with the pistols actually fitting the holsters. Never cared for removable helmet, made a plastic stump for the helmet to go on and use the head for commander Cody anyways. Jango was one of the better bs released but looking at it next to figuarts it just starts looking bad for me

ended up finding shf jango at Amazon for 37 with prime shipping two days ago. I totally agree about spending more than double for the cost of the black series but wow, so far shf stuff is impressive looking

I only collect these action figures for photography. And I have this philosophy: Troopers and characters with masks, I take the black series and modify them to be better in articulation. If the character has a face, then I take the bandai figuarts. Because hasbros facemolds are ... aweful. Horribly aweful. I can accept the lack of quality in a stormtrooper armor, thats something I can repair. But a worse printed and painted face... I bet, even leonardo da vinci couldnt rescue hasbros princess leia. Yes, if I had the choice (and the money) I would only use SH figuarts. But they are expensive. And so I have to think, instead of buy blindly through the collection.

awesome. I really enjoyed this one. I have the Black series one and I love it. But with that being said. I have recently begun to appreciate SH Figuarts. We recently got the SH Figuarts Mace Windu. Figuarts all the way for many figure comparison.
BUT, I recently begin to appreciate the black series figures especially the newer generation ones. Unlike most people I just don’t like toys that I need to keep track of way too much loose accessories. Is it just me?
No I agree. Losing loose parts or accessories does irritate me. I prefer figures that have all the accessories either permanently attached or can be placed on the figure, like a helmet or weapon storage

The figuarts belt looks funny. It sticks out. It's just looks like a brown ring going around his waist. I can't stop seeing it when I look at the figuarts.

Figuarts usually blows Black Series away on human headsculpts, but Black Series is almost always superior when it comes to helmet shape/design and general proportions on armored figures. That's true here as well - Figuart's has that nice gloss on the visor but the helmet is too squished and chunky, plus you can't remove it to reveal the head like you can on the Black Series. I also like the purple colour and weathering of the Black Series suit much better. For me, this is a Black Series win even if they were identical price.

I have the SH Figuarts. I would have been happier if they took half the accessories away and gave a normal head or a a removable helmet. To me they really missed the boat on that part

I saw Black Series Jango Fett at my local Walgreens. Since I'm on a tight budget these days, I have no choice but to stick with that one instead of spending an extra $20 on SH Jango Fett. If I'm lucky, maybe Jango will also end up at discount stores like Rey and the First Order Stormtrooper did.
Have you played Star Wars: Republic Commando? Now I wish that the Black Series would feature the four members of Delta Squad, or at least Delta 38.

Great review Skull Man!!! I was lucky enough to find the Black series figure in the store. The only one I've ever seen. I love it and personally don't care enough about the character to spend the money to upgrade. On a side note will you be reviewing the S.H. Figuarts Black Widow? I've heard a lot of mixed opinions on her. As always thanks for all your hard work.

Personally I love the black series one. I admit the figuarts one has more human slimmer molding and more articulation, it even has great accessories. But these alone aren't worth $40 to me. That plus two things. I love it when a weapon fits in a holster well. It may not be needed for some since it's a display piece but something feels more genuine, so that's a huge knock on the figuarts one for me. The head is the other. It would matter on Boba fett, but Jango walked around without a helmet for a significant part of the film, and not having the option Jango face head on the figuarts one is the other big knock that makes me prefer the hasbro o e. Then again I can see why some prefer Figu arts if those two points don't matter.

How I am with collecting now is, I have to go with figuarts when it comes to human or human like characters, then i'll go with Hasbro for the helmeted and trooper characters to save money.

I'm waiting for my s.h. jangofett in the mail can't waite I'm worried about the mafex bobbafet i just paid on amiammi today. so it should be popping out very soon . i hope its a good figure cause i intend to get the captain phasma mafex but from experience with the mafex spidy it was terribly loose at the joints in the legs.

figuarts!! helmet mold, antennae action and accessories is awesome. overall figure looks a little more cartoonish than the black series.

Though on Amazon the Figuarts Jango goes for like 30 to 40 free shipping with Prime so unless you want the unmasked head it's kind of a no brainer.

This is a case where SHF is better, but yeah, not $45-55 better. Gotta pick and choose those wallet battles, Mac. I just wish the Hasbro had the gloss/more vivid blues. I'm not sure how much more a nice glossy finish would cost them to add.

Been waiting to see/hear your thoughts before I ponied up the dough for the SH, especially after so many have had the bad loose, floppy torso joint, you didn't have any of those issues? Or were you able to fix it if you did?

i dont like the skin tone paint on the neck if the helmet isnt removable. Both figures would have been nicer if they came with the alternative rocket firing jetpack
