I'm glad you like them. I honestly am so happy with them. I had one made out of pvc a few years ago, and these are so much better. The link to the video when we built them is in the description of this video. Let me know if it's clear enough. If not I'll do one that's a little more up close and step by step. :)
@@normabumbaugh6929 ha ha. Yep, unfortunately we have to plan for a little loss due to pests. That's a good idea to use a cow bell. Does it scare the deer off? We built a big fence this year. Here's that video. ua-cam.com/video/ur8T-LOG8sE/v-deo.html
Thank you. I am in NE Idaho😄 👋 it gets cold during the Winter and would like ideas for warmth, cares, and supplies. I only have one chicken right now so I need to keep her warm. I had a feeling you were a neighbor. 😉
@@debbriggs5811 I love that part of the state. I grew up in the Great Falls, Montana area so similar in a lot of ways. Here are some of our winter chicken tips that we've found helpful. ua-cam.com/video/YeDIkHeyNGQ/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/a5prEGjFZB4/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/users/shortsw_yTwpC39Ys?feature=share and ua-cam.com/users/shortsgppnMoE8rmI?feature=share I've also got a chicken playlist I could send if you'd like.
We are in Southeast Idaho. Yes we have several videos showing the results and how we built it. Here is the first one showing the build process. The first few minutes are showing the kids make cherry pie if you want to skip that. ua-cam.com/video/v9OtMx_S3_8/v-deo.html
Yeah, that could be. I generally just free feed mine, so they always have access to layer pellets. They love any greens or scraps they can find though. :)
I would love to see the step by step if you made them, or if you have the plans or drawings. I can see it worked really well. Thanks

So satisfying to see the before and after! Great job!
@@JamesMiller-rb9yl I know. :) I liked comparing the line at the end. They really tilled it up nicely.
Great job! We used a wire, t posts and a cow bell. With regards to most pests anymore I just plant extra.sigh....

@@familyfunhomesteadingandDIY oh i will be watching! Best to you too!
Hi from Lewiston!
Mine love that corn silk tassel silk ,..LOVE IT!!
Yes, ours do too! Some years I'll dry the husks and then store them in feed bags for the winter.
I love that banjo music you used for the video.
Thanks! It's pretty fun. :)
Great idea. Good job guys!
Thanks! We've been really happy with it. :)
Where are you located. Did you do a diy on the chicken tunnels? TU

Excellent idea! Been looking at the other videos just yours shows the results. Those chooks look pretty fat too.
Thanks! Yes, they do a great job eating and timing things up. :)
My chickens have no interest in eating weeds. Probably spoiled
Interesting. Yeah, I wonder why. Mine have always been good about eating or at least destroying any plants in their path. :)
Feeding schedule is the obvious factor
Yeah, that could be. I generally just free feed mine, so they always have access to layer pellets. They love any greens or scraps they can find though. :)
Whatever works.
Yep. It's been great for us and our chickens. :)
Scare crow will work
Thanks for watching! I would like to make a scarecrow.
