Commissioning permit for the first power unit of the Akkuyu NPP was received

December 12 2023, Ankara, Türkiye - The Council of the Nuclear Regulatory Agency (NDK) of the Republic of Turkey issued a commissioning permit for Power Unit No.1 to AKKUYU NUCLEAR Joint Stock Company.
The next stage of the Akkuyu NPP licensing is obtaining an operating license for Power Unit No.1, which will permit to start loading nuclear fuel into the reactor and the start of pre-commissioning control operations. Currently, the specialists of AKKUYU NUCLEAR JSC continue to develop technical documentation for applying for a license.
